Thank you for the great review. This is a great find. Up to now I was writing my metadata on a notebook and then transcribe it into a personal wiki. This seems a much more practical solution. Btw, JSON, pronounced Jason, is s data interchange format used extensively on the Web and among programs of all kinds. It was originally created for JavaScript but it's handled easily by programs written in Python or C++, among many other languages.

Molly Kate -- caught your review on 35mmc first (and left a comment) -- one thing that I was unsure of, you did clear up here. I could enter my unused (sitting in the fridge or freezer) rolls of film into the app without needing to link them to a camera -- that happens when I would go to shoot a roll. Need to get on the Discord server and check on a few other things. Thank you! Have a Happy New Year's!!!

Hello! Creator of Crown + Flint here! Thanks for the feedback. And I have some good news for you: The feature you describe is precisely what I’m working on right now. I’m aiming to ship it by the end of January.

@@DEGoodmanWilson -- I sent you an email Thursday to the email address in your Gitlab page on the project -- with a bunch more info and how I might be able to help....

I bought the app and think it’s terrific. I don’t like that you have to take a photo every time you record a shot, but otherwise it works really well!

glad you like it!! I can't say enough how awesome it is, thought out and designed. Might be worth hopping in the discord and letting Don know your feedback!

I find it helpful for inventory management only. Film, cameras, lenses, and filters. I see no value (for me) in recording all of that other data for each exposure. A good review. Thanks.

Oh come on... are you serious with the "lifetime" thing ? After two years you'll change your phone, android won't support the app anymore or the dev will move to an other project... This remind me the "lifetime subcription" the VHS rental shop where offering back in the 90'... You can't use such marketing techniques in 20-something.
If you like to record everything this app may be good for you, personnaly when I'm out taking pictures i prefer to focus on that and actually take pictures instead of spending more and more time on my phone.

I am serious-I’m the creator of the app, by the way. I am not a fan of subscription-based licensing, that seeks to exploit the user base into paying for the same value received over and over again (although sometimes subscription-based pricing does make sense, this isn’t one of those times). I strongly believe that for software like this, a one-time charge better reflects the value structure of the app. I’m not making promises that the app will be around forever, none of us are that foolish. I’m promising you’ll never have to pay twice for the same product.
