- Rylan has been kicking butt with the stock speed, both handling and awareness, so I decided it was time to remove the speed collar on the clutch to improve the top speed. Come see if you can spot the difference in speed. Always good vibes. Subscribe for more family shenanigans and good times.

thank you for this video, I got my son this rig. Was kinda sad about the top speed, but he needs to learn first and I'll be for sure taking the collar off once he gets more comfy. Still has a lot of torque for off roading even at 8mph
Hey thank you for watching and the comment 😊. That's awesome that you got the Lil dude one 2. It's not a bad idea to have it slower to get comfortable with movement and what not. Taking speed collar off definitely adds some speed. Be good for my son for another season or 2. He wants a dirt bike 🤦♂️lol
That thing rips pretty good with that mod. Next up: pod filter, muffler delete and re-jet the carb...
Then he will be ready to jump the house. Lol.
We just got our son a kfx 50....brand new 2024...have you had any issues with yours? Our will run great until its warm/hot....then it wont idle and wont restart....have you encountered this?
We only had it for 2 years as Ry got older and too big for it, but we never did have any issues in those 2 years
I'm trying to remove the speed collars on 2217 and I've tried two different impact guns and the bolts not coming off I'm going to let it soak overnight with some penetrating rust blaster. Any suggestions? Ty
I wish I was skilled enough mechanic to have tips, but I really lack knowledge in that field. Lol. Hope your try is successful. I can ask a buddy or 2 tomorrow if not.

Hey Brother quick question I hope you don't mind answering. So my son has a 2016 KFX 50 and I took the speed collar off of the clutch already and I know there's a few others I can remove would you mind letting me know what those other restrictors are so that I can remove them to get it running like this? I would greatly appreciate it man. Thank you very much.
Only thing I did was remove the speed collar. I guess you can change air filter and different sprockets to give a little more acceleration as well. I'm no mechanic just what I have seen on the YT lol.
Hey nice little bike!! Got my nephew one, BUT, the steering is SO stiff. Is there something i can do to make it a little easier? My other nephew has a yfz50 and the steering is so much more easier.
Not quite sure. Not mechanically inclined here. Lol. I'm sure there is something that can be tweaked. I'll do some digging and let you know if I find anything.

@@Maverick09171 hey we took it back to the dealer and the never greased the steering stem i guess and thats why it was super stiff, after a lil grease it was super fun to ride, also recommend taking off the speed collar to go faster lol
I'm sure whichever u go with, the kids will love. Rylan has no problem steering this quad. Sometimes I even get on and take a lap or 2. Lol. Best of luck with your choice

My sons does about 15 I would say, it does 14 with me and it did 10 before with me.

Im looking to get my son that same quad! How old is your boy ? And how’s it working with that mod?
He is 6 and just turned 6 in the video. Definitely a good size for him and the mod Def sped it up, but he wouldn't mind a little bit faster. Few more things we can do to it to make it a little snappier, but I'm sure he will be ready for a little bigger or a dirt bike after this next summer.

I think it absolutely would be perfect. He will love it. Taking the speed collar off was pretty easy too so you could wait to take it off when he's ready or take it off and turn the screw to the throttle in more to limit the speed.

I'll have to ask my cousin. Sold it to him for his daughter. Got too small for Ry and needed extra $$ for building house
Just did this little mod on my daughters kfx50. Before it was going about 10mph next to my quad. After it said 20 on my gps speedometer lol. Feels way faster haha

@@TheRamFam4 he's good at riding. It's only a little dangerous I've only ever rolled once and that's because i was riding on a snowbank and hit a chunk of ice.
I will tell him you said that. Will make him happy. And there is a lot in life that is dangerous, but can't let that stop us from living life and having fun 🤘🤙. Taking him to a track this Sunday for the first time. Excited to see how that goes
