It’s so sublimely beautiful, and causes so many different emotions to come forth! Heartache, sadness, triumph over adversity, etc. Its perfect for watching the protagonist, long involved in a terrible war for freedom, see the liberation of their people and smile happily, even as they lay down and take their last breaths from many wounds and injuries they suffered during battle!

David: "Dreams are an interesting thing. Its a meshwork of connected thoughts and feelings. That tie into lives from a different world. That weird sense of deja vu you get. The weird images you can picture while zoning out. It is all connected to a different you. We are sending you to a world with a safe version of you. You won't have any monsters to worry about Cory."
Cory: "I...I don't want to sleep I'm too scared."
David grabbed onto the chain that Cory always annoyed him about. He ripped it off. It was a gold crescent moon. With gold chain weaved around it to make the necklace
David: "Keep it safe. Don't worry Cory the machine will help you sleep."
Cory: "Will I see you again? I don't want to be alone."
David pictured where they first picked up Cory. A kid hiding in the kitchen of an abandoned fast food restaurant trying to open a can of meat. Now here she is, blood splattered on her oversized yellow t-shirt, not all of it being hers. With dirt caked over her hair and smudged on her face. In truth David had no idea. But he couldn't let her feel hopeless.
David: "Wherever you are...I will find you. I promise."
Cory balled her fists stressfully. David nodded to Killian who was running the computer systems. And the hatch to the pod Cory was laid in began to seal. Cory looked up to David and Killian staring at the single pod. They both turned and looked towards the sky. Naturally curious she then redirected her gaze out to the stars. The ceiling was made of hard glass that showed into the horizon. It shown a shattered moon plummeting down upon them. The thing that spiraled everything out of control. From that to panic. To apocalypse. David thought it was fitting, the thing that started it all shall end it. Cory felt herself getting drowsy. She tried to keep a grip on herself. Watch out her last seconds with the people she came to survive with. But her conscious slowly slipped from her as the moon was about to make impact her vision went dark.
A loud noise woke her out of her sleep. RATATTAT. Cory emerged out of her pod. Only to realize she was in a kid decorated room. And rather then in a pod she was In a yellow quilted bed. She heard someone from below her yell. She sounded of middle age maybe slightly older then Killian.
Mother: "CORY I MADE BACON AND EGGS!"
Cory rubbed her head. Trying to grasp the dream. But it was fleeting. She tried to pull the story from her brain but all was blank.
Corey: "Coming Mom!"
Corey clipped on her crescent gold necklace that she found in her room and made her way downstairs.
Mother: "HIJA its getting cold!"
Corey: "Sorry mama!"
In a world of lost humanity, one thing you must do is remember you are human beings and be kind to others and animals.

"Soon..." He shoved them in the bag. Scrunched with others.

"I don't know," he said. " Go get the boots"

He took them. "My notebook and diary..." They landed on the bed before he could ask for them.
" I also have the brush you need." The kid show it to him and handed it over. " Too many times I've done this. I know...." The kid clutched the man's trousers." So you don't have to lie. Don't have to hide it from me anymore."
"So you also know I come back every time. " The man said hugging him back. "Every time..."
" So did the neighbor's father. Except for the last time. My friend has still been waiting for him." He said. " Will you be back or will you be like father?"
The man went to his knees. " If I don't..." His voice faltered. "Don't... don't follow the same path as me and father. Run away before they come to collect you as well. And be better than us. I know you will be."
"I can handle myself," the kid said removing his brother's hand from his head. " But it'll be more easier and fun with you"
They both smiled as the leaves fell and the boy was left alone again...maybe forever this time.
