  • Purpose of the test:
As the Innolock block could be used for earthquake resistance, it was necessary to evaluate the shear stress that such a wall built with them could offer - shear being the main stress impacting walls during an earthquake. This would give an idea of the effectiveness of the key and the whole system with “glue” and grout.
Thus, Aureka and the Auroville Earth Institute performed a simple comparative test on three CSEB wall assemblies of 1 m x 1m:
    1. Specimen 1: Innolock block 250 with earth cement glue and earth concrete grout
    2. Specimen 2: Innolock block 250 with Fevicol glue and earth concrete grout
    3. Specimen 3: Standard Plain block 240 with cement sand mortar, CSM 1 cement: 3 sand.

Once we use the earth slurry, will there be any water penetration through that when it rains ?

@@masthanreddy663 yes there still we be water penetration because it is not waterproof.
