I feel bad for all the younger kids who will only ever have a choice of golf gti or golf R derivatives to drive 😂🤷♂️ honestly the EVOs are another level of car and people dont understand how good they handle and put down power untill you actually sit in or drive one. IMO even an RS3/A45s is a boat compared to an evo, you gotta experience one to know what I mean 😂🤷♂️

I bought a GC8 WRX for $4000 2 years ago when I was 18, now they are 10k and over and most of them are in shit condition. I'm 20 now and I recently bought an Evo for 20k, I thought that was a good deal until alot of evo owners were telling me they paid 10k back in the day for theirs, just goes to show how quick prices jump in a few years

Really miss my VI. Had about 375bhp and was fairly quick. But my mate had a 400bhp Evo 7 RS Sprint tuned by Mark Shead. Everything was lightweight and close ratio on it. Was ridiculous
Trouble with them now is there not fast anymore, my RS Sprint is just over 400bhp but say a mapped M140 or performance diesel will easily out drag it on dual carriageway

Mate I had the rival to this in the day, 1995 WRX RA, 112mph top speed, with map and various upgrades. Those were the days, mental turbo power, 4wd, light weight, hardly any speed cameras, fuck all traffic. Just head out and go mental.

If you don't have the turbo cool down set up after you turn engine of and remove key the engine keeps running for a few minutes to gradually bring down the turbo temp , then get it Rick 😉

I got the pleasure to go out in my mates evo 8 for a joy ride and I mean a joy ride. Flying everywhere. I fell in love and had to buy a evo for myself. 6months later and it’s sitting outside. Nothing matches the way they go

Ricky make sure you overfill the oil slightly (or if serious accusump/dry sump it). I run an evo 7 in time attack and oil pressure drops significantly in right hand high G corners.
Got some vids on my channel and can see the oil pressure gauge in the center drop from 6-7 bar down to about 2-3 bar. Heard of many stock oiling system evos dying at brands hatch indy for example due to the final corner starving them of oil while at full throttle for like 5 seconds
The donnington/brands videos show it. At cadwell recently the sender for the pressure sensor went bad hence why doesnt show there
Baffled sump is sufficient
@@MJNGaming it helps but have still seen them fail with baffled sump. The moroso ones are supposed to be pretty good as higher capacity and with the trap doors also
