I absolutely love this channel because I find it so heartwarming to feel a sense of community with someone else who love books but I find most people on social media for books only read TikTok books or YA and I want something deeper that will enrich my life. I so appreciate you Emma! I learn about so many new books to try! Not that I don’t like some YA or middle grade, I do! I just want them to be worthwhile 😊
I just discovered you! There's another princess on booktube as well and she is a lot like youl She loves classics. She loves them so much that she teaches them. I just love how you talk about Christ. Christians on here are rare, but they are on here. I follow them as I will follow you. I don't read as many sacred books as I should but you give a really good recommendation. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the new year.
The Book of Cymbeline will become a classic, along with the seasonal Cymbeline books that will come along. This is a lovely video, and i have ideas to add to my 2023 list (I did not finish my 2022 list, oh well). I am going to try to read 52 books in 2023, some will be finishing ones already started. You have inspired me to do a 2022 wrap up on my blog...maybe. Have a lovely remainder of 2022
I read a lot of D E Stevenson books this year and listened to quite a few the second time on Scribd. She is one of my favorite authors!! Also, read a lot of Dean Street Press books and reread a lot of Mary Stewart. Congrats again on your very own book!! It is soooo cute and what an accomplishment!!
Thank you for this list. So many great suggestions and inspiration. 2022 was such a difficult reading year for me for multiple reasons. I did discover The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter by Susan Witting Albert this spring though and fell in love with these charming mysteries. Not super deep but were a perfect escape when I was up to reading. Plus I am a sucker for all things Beatrix Potter and talking animals so its been perfect for me. Here's to a better 2023 reading year!
I am so glad I have found you! There are so many of my favourite authors that you have mentioned. I cant wait to read some of the recommendations you make and getting to know some of the people on this group. I love that there are so many English authors as I am from the UK and feel very at home with so many books set here!!
Thank you for sharing your most memorable reads this past year! I enjoyed being part of the read-alongs! I'm looking forward to reading more books along with the Bookish Kingdom. Merry Christmas!
What a great reading year!! The Aeneid is really excellent; at some point, I really need to read the whole thing. I always leave your videos inspired 🥰
I always love this video! I read Susan Scarlett, Trollope, Willa Cather, Dorothy Wordsworth, and D.E. Stevenson this year too. I loved reading A Lost Lady and Shadows on the Rock by Willa Cather and Green Money by DES especially. My other favorite reads of the year were In This House of Brede by Rumer Godden, Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens, and The Nine Tailors by Dorothy Sayers. I'd love to read The Aeneid (especially after reading about Dido Twite in Joan Aiken's Black Hearts in Battersea) and Lewis' space trilogy in the new year.
Awesome video, Emma! So many of your favorites are my favorites, too! I loved hearing you talk about the books and I have a few I want to put on my TBR. Thank you! Hope you had a wonderful and fun holiday! 🥰🎄❤
Hi Emma! Have you ever read any Pride & Prejudice variations? I don’t remember ever hearing you mention any, but you love Austen so much, I thought you might have. Also, have you read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon? Or the Clan of the Cave Bear series by Jean Auel? Both favorites of mine which I have read over many times.

I can't wait for more Cymbeline books 😻
