I've been a quiet viewer for a long time. Your videography is a joy to take in! Also, lovely analogy between the dance and our relationship with the Lord. If only we can learn to accept the uncertainty with excitement and confidence in the One leading, rather than viewing it with apprehension, how much more enjoyable our dance through life with Him will be!
Your book quilt is beautiful and you’ve created such a cheerful and inviting space! I tend to love the vices in characters more than their virtues because it makes them more human to watch them wrestle with and overcome them. Thank you for sharing 😄
I’m always so excited when you upload. I used to love swing dancing but haven’t done it in many years. I love the way you compared it to faith in God! Definitely rings true.
Great idea to cover the computer screen to reduce the temptation to surf rather than read a book. Love seeing the snow melting and crocuses peeping out. It brought back memories of my childhood. I just learned about Febregency today so I am looking forward to next year's. You have such a cheerful demeanor that it made me smile while listening, good work!
But then there's also the potential that Mr. Darcy will ask you to dance, so maybe it balances out. 😉 As I think Jane Austen knew, there's no getting through life without having to endure dancing with a Mr. Collins or two. 😂
I was so excited when your video popped up in my feed! missed watching your reading vlogs 😊 Your new couch definitely looks Regency-esque and I love it! the snow looks so magical ❄ I'd probably stare out my window all day if I got that much of snow where I live 😅
Thank you for sharing your Febregency reads! I've been reading a new Christian fantasy series a friend recommended - Under Fire By Kim Vandel. It's been surprisingly really fun and intense! I'm looking forward to the next Book Discussion! Happy Reading and a Blessed Lent!
Haha, my Lent hasn't been perfect either, but I've come to appreciate the season more and more over the years...even though I hate going so many weeks without chocolate. 😆
It's so funny, but I've begun to look forward so much to Lent because I always take a break from social media and it's so nice 😂 Thank you for this beautiful vlog! I've been missing your videos this month! ❤
Yes! As someone mentioned above, there was only the one Heyer adaptation. Apparently, Heyer was so upset with it that she refused to let any other film adaptations even be attempted AND stipulated it had to continue after her death. Bummer! I really need a new, good, clean period drama. I have watched and rewatched the same ones over and over.😊
Georgette Heyer’s Reluctant Widow (one of my favourites) was adapted into a movie in the 1950s. It is very much a ‘loosely based on’ adaptation. I don’t think you are missing much by not seeing it.
My friend does quilting and has a slip cover over an unplugged in tv in her room that I think she doesn’t even use. I look forward to listening to Belinda after the audio book on RUclips I’m listening to currently. I’m also rereading romancing mr bridgerton getting ready for season three of bridgerton. I also plan to reread the book I pre read for first time JAFF authors book as I received a signed copy. He changed some bits and gave caroline a very good ending. Hadn’t realised my name was in the book at the end. It’s called rewinding time.
I love Lady Delacour (hope that doesn't make me a bad person! 🙂). I've just read a review for a new book by Andrew Stauffer 'Byron: a Life in ten Letters' - Regency's not just for February - for all year.
I emailed the recording of the Belinda discussion to the book club email list, let me know if you didn't get it or if you'd like to be added to the list!
I totally agree with you that we should bring traditional dancing back into fashion!

Exactly, beautifully put!

Welcome back Emma! So glad winter is over, and spring is finally here. ☕📚🫖🍄🌷🌈🌳
Febregency 2024 Wrap-up-warm! Best wishes.
😊📖

Thanks Casey! 😊❤️
I love your vlogs. Thank you. 🙏

The snow scenes in the vlog were so lovely, thank you.
❄️💕
Swing dancing definitely will give you a better appreciation of Elizabeth Bennet's misery dancing with Mr Collins 😂
But then there's also the potential that Mr. Darcy will ask you to dance, so maybe it balances out. 😉 As I think Jane Austen knew, there's no getting through life without having to endure dancing with a Mr. Collins or two. 😂
This was lovely, Emma! ❤
Lovely vlog, Emma!
I actually met my husband swing dancing 😊 Plus, I love the connection you made with it to Austen!
Aww that's lovely! I've really been enjoying swing dancing, I'm sure I'll continue!
Heard about your channel from Tristan. I liked it, and now I subscribe.
I love how you talk about language and 'following'. Great artistic eye with the photography too, Emma. Thanks. Really enjoyed.
Thank you so much! 😊

Thanks! 😊 The snow was so magical this month!
I enjoy watching and listening Emma very interested in reading or listening to Belinda it’s sound like really good read .thank you ❤
Thanks! Hope you get to read Belinda, it was so good!

Your grounds are LOVELY. AGREE with you about Lent though I have had much less success...
Haha, my Lent hasn't been perfect either, but I've come to appreciate the season more and more over the years...even though I hate going so many weeks without chocolate. 😆

I know, Lent is very helpful for recalibrating my relationship with social media and the Internet! 😂
Was having a very sucky day but this video made me feel better. Ily
Aww glad to hear that, hope the day improves!

Aww I can understand that, but it is too bad. As you say, I'd love it if we had some good new clean period dramas!
Your kitty is so cute. ❤
😸❤️

Haha, that's too bad it didn't turn out well!
I didn't get it. I thought I was on the list but might need to be added. Thanks - I am enjoying your youtube channel very much.

Ohh that quilt cover sounds so pretty! Sounds like you've been doing lots of good reading/audiobook listening - how fun that your name is the book!
So just when I was wondering whether you would recommend Belinda or a Fanny Burney novel, you answered the question!😊
Haha, I do love Burney's novels too, but Belinda was sooo good!
I love Lady Delacour (hope that doesn't make me a bad person! 🙂). I've just read a review for a new book by Andrew Stauffer 'Byron: a Life in ten Letters' - Regency's not just for February - for all year.
Haha, I love her so much as well, she's such a fabulous character! You're so right, Regency is great all year!
Emma, how do I listen to the book club review of Belinda?
I emailed the recording of the Belinda discussion to the book club email list, let me know if you didn't get it or if you'd like to be added to the list!
