I live on a beautiful sandy beach. The rip currents and side wash make it a nightmare for swimmers. I agree gravel burns in your swimmers walking home, if you don't have a good wash off when leaving the beach. Most days are sunny so 50+ sun screen lotion is a must.

Your videos are the BEST. Many years ago in Nice, FR , I was shocked to find the " rock beach" but it was enjoyable. Stayed at the Negresco and with the outdoor restaurant and the Mediterranean with a singer , doing " La vie en Rose" ..perfection. Your destination looks magnificent. Life can be good.

Wow! I remembered the promenade, swimming in those warm waters, a lots of places where you can have a good time, food, drink, you name it. I went to see the match Peru vs Australia during the 2018 World Cup at the Fisht Olympic Stadium. I had such memorable time there. I hope things go back to normal soon. ✌️ & ❤️

Reminds me that I should go to my local beach 5km away; Redondo Beach, California. The temperature is close to Sochi's now. Our local beach has nice sand. Many years ago sand was actually shipped from Redondo Beach to Waikiki because they liked so much! You have great editing for your video. Nice seeing you at the beach!

Looks like you had an amazing time, I always wondered why the beaches had rocks instead of sand. When I was in the Crimean Region they were the same also. I hope to go to Yalta again, if this Covid thing ever ends
I grew-up on the south-east coast of England and sandy beaches are (of course) the best, but pebble/shingle beaches are fine too - unless the pebbles (or any shells) are sharp to walk on. It's absolutely the best choice to go to a more distant beach to escape crowds of people - Dagomys seems to have everything you'd hope for. I've spent the last 6 years living in Moscow about 10km from the centre of the city, in a really nice complex overlooking one of the most beautiful (but secret...) parks in the city, with natural woodland and a large lake. Like with your choice of holiday destination, Svetlana, if you've found such a place to visit (or to live) it can be much better if it's a couple of kms from the usual places, just to be somewhere where you can move freely, relax and have a good time - without crowds and crowds of people ruining it. My idea of hell is living, or going on holiday somewhere, where there are just too many people. Even in Moscow, in city of c.15 million people there are (a few) nice areas to live (or visit) where you can escape the hordes (just 15 mins from the centre) - which even a lot of Muscovites seem unaware of....

Your trips looks so exciting. The air looks clean and the places you visit is always clean. But I always get the idea that you are not proud of your country. Our lives are completely different. I would love beaches where you can have clean changing rooms etc. We do not have safe beaches and it takes a lot of people cleaning up our beaches. All of the best to you. We have Beautiful white sandy beaches, here on crystal clear Lake Ontario, the white sand is the shells of the Zebra Muscles who died from eating the old polluted water, and giving back clean water. The fresh shell are murder on bare feet, until the waves grind them smooth

Pebble beaches are not bad at all. Sandy ones may have more flash to them but that sand is like glitter, you will NEVER get rid of it.
