So sorry about the rubbish audio quality here - I think there's a bit of a problem with the camera's microphone, and it's irritating because the video's very quiet but when I turn up the volume I get distortion in the louder parts. Next time I'll try and get a proper separate mic working!
This is an awesome undertaking you've achieved. Glad you see the beauty in their music as well. People have already mentioned to listen to the EPs, I concur. If love you love exai I think you'll definitely love l-event (the ep following that lp) Also, Rob and Sean are involved in a group called Gescom. Good shit there too
Hello! Thank you so much!! I want to praise you for your subtle understanding of music, it's not even about a particular genre. A very small percentage of people are truly able to perceive the subtle details of musical works. This perception helps to discover masterpieces in any style of music, getting maximum enjoyment. I am sure you can, if you wish, become a good music journalist or critic over the years, the main thing is to continue to develop your taste and ability to perceive what many seem to absolutely incomprehensible. As an example, noise and modern academic music come to mind with its atonal and chaotic, at first glance, constructions. I can advise you to listen to Merzbow (for example, the Requiem track). Also, pay attention to the label Kvitnu (recently defunct) created by my good friend Dmytro Fedorenko also known as Kotra (Ars Electronica award winner, lecturer at the Vienna Conservatory, now lives in Berlin). There were released albums of such experimental legends as Pan Sonic, Muslimgauze, etc. He opened to the world such artists as Sturqen, Plaster. His label also released albums by his girlfriend Katya Zavoloka (whom Aphex Twin cites as one of the main contemporary sources of inspiration). I also advise you to pay attention to his new label Prostir, google "Kotra Radness Methods + living-techno" (good review of the album). In recent years, I've often thought about creating a blog dedicated to what I think are the best albums and singles of non-dance electronic music (IDM, ambient, etc.) of the late 80s and 90s. I have been listening to this music for about 30 years and I notice that many wonderful albums of those years are unknown to modern music lovers. But I was stopped by the thought that such genres as IDM are absolutely uninteresting to the younger generation. Thanks to you and the comments of your peers, I understand that I was wrong. Therefore, I will try to create such a blog, I experience great pleasure when I open this or that musical masterpiece to people. In fact, there are a lot of releases from musicians who have not entered the global history, limiting themselves to a very small discography. In addition to the big names (BOC, Au, Aphex Twin, etc.), there are artists who have created absolutely incredible records, but are kind of forgotten now. You can rarely read about them in thematic articles. Of course, this is my subjective opinion, based on personal taste, but I am sure that many experienced fans of the genre will share it. My best wishes to you, my virtual friend (that's how I perceive you, if you don't mind). Regards, MTKS.
Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a heartwarming message. The fact that my videos (even old ones i now find hard to watch) can have such an impact on people, and have this kind of thought given to them, is amazing and seriously surreal to me. Maybe even more surreal is the fact I have any kind of connection to RDJ through a chain of people, a completely unexpected result of this channel! I’m always intrigued by music that stretches and challenges me; I’ve given Merzbow a go in the past and I hope to make more content on the kind of music you mention while developing my video-making. Comments like this remind me of why I started doing this in the first place. Many thanks again, Joey :)

Great video/videos! Way to go! Listening to Autechre is like giving your brain a workout. Have you heard of AE Live Sessions? It's about 28 hours in total. LOL. It contains their live sets recorded from 2014 thru 2015. Most of the tracks are similar and have similar elements placed in different "areas", and each set kind of mutates from the last one, if that makes any sense. I've listened to about half of them so far. My absolute favorite album from Autechre is Amber. I listened to Confield once and wanted to jump ship, but I stayed with it and I am glad, some of there stuff is the most interesting "music" I have ever heard. Sometimes I wonder if they are even from this planet. LOL
omg have a great time! i saw them in london last year and it was a huge highlight of all the gigs i’ve been to - super intense and visceral, and unlike anything else out there. definitely something to look forward to :)
Please listen to all their live stuff and do a video. Buy an Audeze LCD-2 with Fazors and a nice 7Nish copper cable, in order to experience 'Peak Sound Design'.
Funny that you tell that lil pump joke be someone actually made a mashup of recks on with racks on racks. unfortunately the uploader has seemed to have deleted the video so I’m happy that I experienced greatness that no one else could 😜
Mad respect for going through that discography at your age. Exai is incredible!
