Visit the WWII camp | Waalcrossing 2024 | 80 years of liberation of Nijmegen

From 16 to 22 September 2024, Nijmegen will commemorate the historic Waalcrossing, 80 years ago, a crucial event during the liberation of the city in World War II. On 20 and 21 September, you can participate in an extensive program with activities for all ages.
✨ Highlights of the program:
• Real Waalcrossing - Experience a simulated Waalcrossing twice at the city bridge 'De Oversteek'.
• WWII camp - Visit the camp and discover what life was like during wartime.
• Demonstrations & obstacle course - Watch exciting demonstrations and set your best time on the challenging obstacle course.
• Stories & activities - Discover inspiring stories and participate in various activities, such as cracking Morse code.
Come and experience this special commemoration in Nijmegen, for young and old!
