Building a layering kit can sound a bit overwhelming at first, but it's really not that hard and totally worth learning the ins and outs of how a layering system works. This layering kit from Sitka Gear is both effective and efficient. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Switched to Sitka intercept pants. I do alot of stalking, crawling quiet and has been holding up great so for. Best pants yet.

The Mountain Evo is my favorite gear so much that I have three of them in solid and camo colors. I also didn't expect to love it so much.. premier piece of gear imo. The evo, ambient with rain gear is all you need imo with a light puffy.

I see Sitka on Camofire often and should have gotten the Equinox top and bottom for turkey 🦃 season but I am tight for money 💵 atm and would rather buy some licenses and tags 🏷️ first.
I like knee pads they have really saved me but the pants that I have they do move around in them. A little annoying but still helpful.

@@DialedinHunter Amen 🙏 I have made that mistake before of buying a gun or a good bit of clothing because they are on sale and then didn’t have money to buy or apply for licenses and tags 🏷️. It’s definitely tempting but we all have to be more disciplined. I still need to work on that. Once I get a tag or two and hopefully have some money left over I can get the hunt appropriate gear pieces that I can afford.

I’m curious, what’s the coldest temps where that layering system on top (plus some puffy pants on bottom) would keep you warm while glassing for a few hours? Thanks!
I've had this particular layering system on down into the 20's without puffy pants. Puffy pants would have been awesome there, but it wasn't a deal breaker with some base layer bottoms on. You could use this though as a template. If the hunt is going to be colder, then I would swap out the puffy jacket for a thicker one or add a smaller insulation piece underneath it.
