Lmao!! Top stuff mate!! Great vid! Glad you liked the package!! J1 aka 'Squirrel' - A sherrin in your first package! You're a legend mate!! I've got the same little Eagles flag!! **wink wink** lol! Menke, I've got round two in the works already, but I'll give you time to get over the first sugar high first!
Can't wait! Thanks again boss :)
@@MenkeYT If you do make it to Australia in the next year or so, please resist all inclinations to go to FUCKING Bondi beach and head slightly south to Cronulla (which shits on Bondi). message me here and I'll help you come to the area and show you around ALL the south Sydney area has to offer. I would allow two days to see it all, and another day for Sydney City. Good luck!
SouthernSkies surely you chuck in a Carlton guernsey 👍🏻👍🏻
GB Sailing But nothing beats the beaches in Newy 😉
@@darthlayto Oh I don't know...I could show you some stunners around here!!! 'Ave you ever been down this way and through the Royal National Park?
When you made the collingwood teeth joke you were officially accepted as an australian
@aussie bogan Every afl fan does mate, unless maybe you live in sydney or queensland where they watch rugby over AFL, everybody says that
HAHAHA
fucking collingwood
BigManCharlie I live in qld and I only watch AFL
Yup, I had to pause the video, I was laughing so hard I couldn't hear him after that quip.
love seeing that at least one person has got their auspost package
Nick Hill hahah!
It was probably sent over a year ago!
Unreal effort for whoever sent him that stuff.
Thats boss. Awesome care package dude
Big props to them
Thanks
💯💯 Far out! What a package! Got me hungry right before dinner 😋😣!
Love the actual Test match ball being sent! 😮😮🏏
A generous package for sure. Well done to the bloke.
The blue shirt you’re wearing features indigenous Australian art. If you happen to make it to Aus, you’ll notice that the trains and trams have the same designs/art on them.
As an American viewer, those Indigenous Guernseys in the AFL, NRL and Twenty20 Cricket are pretty cool
@@Flamingbro69 it's not just a random pattern either. Each design is done by a indigenous Australian and it depicts a certain story.
That One American Dude Who watches AFL Footy what do you think of the shapes and cheesels
Aussies have no fear except for Magpies in September and cricket balls like concrete heading at you at 100mph. We just love it.
Hi, 2 suggestions. When you do the taste video separate into savoury and sweet. For some reason people do it the other way round and you won’t appreciate how good Twisties and BBQ Shapes are. Secondly after you have pumped up the Sherrin, take it to your biggest park for a kick, if there is an Australian in the vicinity, they will find you. And don’t try and throw it like an American football, it won’t work!
Thanks for the tips!
Kick it to me!!! Kick it to me!!
we just gonna ignore the fact that HE OWNS A CRICKET BALL USED IN AN ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN CRICKET MATCH, i would've died then and there if i was there
Did they just take a block of chocolate and shove it full of candy?
...yes. Yes they did. 😀
And it tastes amazing with all the flavours mixing plus popping sensation.
Minnesotans and Australians are very similar! Just really nice and genuine people
That wizz fizz packet should be a multi pack, give the 7 yr old one of the internal packs, he will love it..
The fact that the first aussie shirt you wore was the Indigenous round cricket shirt, you made me smile so big, I'm an Aboriginal Australian and I'm glad to see our unique art making it's way to American homes❤ Just Subscribed.
“Drop bear?”
*loads gun*
Ah, good to see he’s already picked up the proper response to a drop bear.
Whoever sent the first box in, I don’t think anyone else could ever top that!
OK, when you have the vegemite, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, spread it *thinly* on a slice of buttered toast! Do NOT spread it like it's Nutella!
Americans still don't seem to understand "Thinly". We mean a literal scraping (for those uninitiated) on well buttered toast.
Vegemite is condiment like salt or pepper, so use VERY LITTLE, otherwise you will pay for it and never enjoy the bliss that is available in the correct consumption.
Hot Toast
Plenty of butter
A tiny smidge of Vegemite.
DO NOT eat with a spoon.
No no no, heap it on. Needs to be a thick coating, no toast to be seen. At least that's how I have it.
and don't smell it it's very pungent. I suggest a dab no bigger than your thumb nail on Heavily buttered toast. Also it's Very Savory so I would suggest not trying it after anything sweet that's advanced Vegemite eating. My father who had his masters certificate in Vegemite used to have Vegemite and banana sandwiches
@@alankohn6709 I bet the young folk sing songs of your father's greatest. What a Legend :)
Man, I always love these types of Videos. I myself am a young 16 Year Old Swans and Roosters supporter from Largo, Florida. It’s pretty awesome to see Americans like you and me and many others get interested in the marvelous sports that come from Down Under.
As an Australian, I love to see Americans interested in our sports, I don't watch AFL but in NRL I myself support the Rabbitohs
That's a deadly Adelaide Strikers Indigenous jersey mate 🤙 Good haul of snacks too
Such cool gifts, worth alot of money too, especially the apparel. Pretty sure fruchocs only from my home town, Adelaide, theyre amazing! Enjoy.
James Pate I’m from Sydney and I love fruchocs definitely going back to Adelaide to buy some more.
Never heard of fruchocs.... Must be an Adelaide thing. 🇦🇺
Watch Hugh Jackman on Jimmy Fallon. He demonstrates perfectly how to start out with Vegemite. Warm, golden toast, spread butter while the toast is still hot so it can melt in, then spread just a little vegemite, so little it looks like you got vegemite on your toast by accident. When you like it you can increase the amount you put on.
100% like this
On crumpets drenched with butter and a light sweep of Vego!
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this elsewhere. The Kookaburra brand cricket ball is the best recognised and most used in Test cricket. The English are known for using Duke's. There are small differences between the different manufacturers which results in differences in characteristics which a good bowler will be aware of and should prepare accordingly depending on where their next series is being played.
Ok just to lets you know milo is choc MALT which means it's not as sweet as something like NesQuik or other chocolate milk powders and yes more milo is better and if done properly there should be some milo floating on top of the milk even after stirring which you can eat with a spoon also goes great on Ice cream. I remember getting a glass of this to head me off to school with and then a glass when I got home.
Violet Crumble has been made since 1913. Honey Comb is hot golden syrup with baking soda added it makes it fizz up then it cool into hardened aerated toffee with a distinctive texture. I suggest you bite into it and then give it a moment to start to melt in your mouth
Being from Australia it’s an experience watching this with guns in his house 😂
Pew Pew
@@MenkeYT Are they loaded?
I know right
@@DanTuber No, Never loaded for my videos. I keep my ammo and guns stored properly.
In Australia it takes ages to get the licence for any gun, and you need them to be stored in a safe that checks an extreme list and if cops discover that anyone without a licence knows where your key is, you lose all your guns and the licence.
Pro tip on the Milo. Put it in the glass with just a little bit of milk and mix. Then once you have a slurry/paste then put the rest of the milk in ( and maybe another spoon of Milo ) - beware it’s a Malt drink and not chocolate. It is not as sweet as Nesquick and most Americans don’t like it as much. Growing up with it as a kid though it’s amazing.
Tom Oliver that’s the perfect instruction and of course always that last spoonful of Milo at the end, no maybe about it.
😂Does anyone else just want to send him a box of bubble wrap and nothing else? He always gets excited about it.
Picnics are also known as “deliciously ugly” because as you said they look like a turd but tastes bloody amazing
Allen's is our main lolly (candy) brand, Cadbury is our main chocolate brand, Arnott's is our main biscuit brand. - Milo is pronounced "My-low" and be prepared, its not chocolate, its malt, and doesn't mix well, part of it charm haha
looking forward to the taste test vid.
Please, it’s Ar Nutts ...... Arnutts not Ar Knots 😉biscuits
Cadbury is not a Australian brand
@@waynechalkley6693 Cadbury Australia is our most prominent chocolate manufacturer, did not intend to suggest Cadbury was an Australian company, just that Cadbury has 3 factories in Australia and their chocolates are the most commonly found.
Damn, he has a whole 2 days worth of snacks right there.
"did they just take a chocolate bar and shove it full of candy?"
Yes. Yes they did.
Man you Are such a lucky American! Man I’m so happy for you!
When you do a Tim Tam slam make sure you do it with a hot beverage (milk, coffee, tea). People online bugger it up with a cold drink and barely suck it up which defeats the purpose. Bite the ends or two corners off and suck the drink up quickly which will cause the implosion, then really quickly shove that whole bad boy in your mouth.
"I haven't gone full blown Collingwood, so my teeth are still pretty good..."
BURN!!
The Iced VO VO . Legendary . Mint Slice .
I’m waiting for Jaffa’s .
I've already got the snack-trying video ready in another tab and I'm so keen to watch haha
just to let you know its pronounced 'Mylo'
Good god thank you so much >.
No problem mate
And the instructions are whack.... if it says 3 teaspoons, it really means 3 tablespoons ;) Also keep your spoon as you wont always mix it all in and you then eat the floating island on top :)
And it says there’s like 20 servings in the tub but it really means 1
when it says three just multiply it by ten and you are good so 30
Cold milo is best but it doesn’t really mix in properly. And it’s pronounced ‘my’ ‘low’.
Yeh if you have a barmix or blender itll help
Lots of love from Melbourne the lockdown capital of Australia
"Fortunately I haven't gone full blown Collingwood so my teeth are still pretty good" You're so in tune.....!😂
Great video, when corona's sorted you will be most welcome down here.
I love how everyday things like that for us make you so excited! Great to see!
Great work. We all hope u enjoy the package.
Wizz Fizz 🤣🤣. Sugar rush bro . Picnic looks like a turd when unwrapped. Boost is a great bar. I see barbecue shapes. He’ll get addicted to the shapes.
The Tim tam slam dunk. Booya.
GOt the Collingwood teeth joke in . Well played . This mintie is stretching in my mouth
Watching this was an absolute delight!
I dunno who James "squirrel" is, but he could be me. West coast eagles, strikers. Nailed it.
Very envious of that pink cricket ball, super lucky to get your hands on that. Unlike in baseball its super, super rare to get your hands on a match ball from cricket.
Also the sherrin! I didn't get my first match day sherrin until early adulthood - they are expensive and you want to really look after them.
Well done. The perfect aussie gift package.
Why eagles and strikers?
@@jordanmckchicken3865 my whole family were eagles fans growing up so it stuck and I am from SA, living in Adleaide, so Strikers it is
Some great stuff in those packages!
Squirrel was generous. Pass on the eagles though.
I see youve already got the hating on collingwood thing 😂
Fruchocs are only from Adelaide, mango is good but the apricot is the original and the best!
all of the food is so nostalgic!
Milo is the greatest thing ever. It's great as a hot or cold drink or sprinkled over ice cream. The white cricket ball is for 1 day cricket and the pink is for 5 day (day/night) test matches.
haha enjoy the aussie treats mate , love the video just found your channel
So awesome that he sent you an eagles shirt they truely are the greatest team in the AFL.
We call it Milo Mountains , forget about the teaspoon , use a tablespoon for cold 1/4 of the glass should be milo . Stir thourghly
Milo (or My-low) is prepared the following way. take a tall glass. compack the milo 3/4 full into the bottom of glass. slowly add cold milk (flowing off the back of a spoon to stop the milk making a hole in the milo). then slowly scape spoon across the milo so a little floats to the top, then eat that with a teeny bit of milk on the spoon. (also fantastic sprinkled on icecream)
Oh snap , “haven’t gone full blown Collingwood” 😂🤣😂
A good use for Minties . If you get fuel leak in your car chew up a minie till it is like putty . work it around the leak and the leak will stop. Suger is non soluble in fuel. Love your work
James is unreal , easily $300 worth .
Those patterns on the Jersey you liked are indigenous
Brodie Griffin close to $750 given the apparel and sports equipment alone would easily be $600.
You'll end up with Tim Tam addiction.
That's a guarantee. :D
This is a fantastic video, keep up the good vibes mate
Barbecue shapes are the bomb..doesn’t get any better
Nice one James, good onya cobber
Kingston's are my favourite biscuit yummy for dipping in a hot drink
Isn't that basically the Tim Tam Slam? Tim Tam dipped in a hot chocolate / tea / coffee?
@@scrapper3494 Kingston's are different to Tim tams I dunno if you could do the slam cause they are round
@@scrapper3494 tim tam slam is biting off opposite corners, and drinking a hot drink through the tim tam like a straw, and it pretty much instantly melts the whole inside of the tim tam to pudding, then you slam the whole thing in your mouth. it needs to be done this way because tim tams are coated in chocolate and won't absorb the liquid by just dipping it.
Kingstons are too sickly, Monte Carlo biscuits are the premium cream biscuit in Aus.
Very generous James. That was several hundred dollars worth of gear!!
Those minties really love fillings
That was a generous pack.
Already crackin toothless Collingwood fan jokes.. Hilarious
Milo pronounced "my low" mate. BTW the double coat tim tams are the best for the slam due to the thick chocolate coating. Have a great sugar high lol
Hand guns are pretty useless against Dropbears. Just so you know.
lol!!
i love that the first thought you had with a cricket ball was it breaking your window, its a cricket balls fav pastime haha
This man is officially American part Australian
😊😊
These people are so generous!
BRO!! Watching you open these gifts was brilliant. Some awesome products and snacks (Tim Tams are awesome). You were like a kid in a candy store. Look forward to seeing your new props. And that pink Cricket ball is used in the Twenty 20 matches. Chur Menke.
Michael Hallows Eve the pink ball is for day night test matches
Cheeky Collingwood diss. :)
That's so awesome dude!
Man You got the good stuff. That is awesome from those guys.
Wow that's awsum!
Wrong teams!
You did well, there's probably about a thousand bucks worth in those boxes. The Sherrin costs about $150 (AUD).
Wonderful work boys . I’m only a few minutes in but already looking forward to his tasting of Vegemite.
Bloody Collingwood drink cup . 🤣🤣.
Thts a better gift box than my mother gets me for Christmas each year.. Drop bear, get gun out. Hilarious
I like the Indigenous Strikers jersey. Be sure to use the Vegemite on toast with a good amount of butter or margarine!
After you finish all of that you will be a honoury Aussie
Love this :D the Milo (my-low) is definitely one of the ones where you use more than they say
I thought so ;)
Speaking as Australian who doesn't like Vegemite in general. There's only one way I eat Vegemite. You toast your bread, spread the Vegemite on it and top with a thick layer of Cottage Cheese. For best effect here in Australia we have a variety called Creamed Cottage Cheese. 2 of my Nephews who wouldn't eat Vegemite for years came to our place for a visit. Their Dad was a Vegemite fanatic who used to slather it on. I gave them some Vegemite and Cottage Cheese to try and they were hooked. We were going through Cottage Cheese like it was going out style. People complain that Cottage Cheese is too bland and Vegemite is too Strong. But put them together and they balance each other out. I think it's heaven.
I absolutely love your reaction videos mate, they're top notch! I watch your vids sometimes on the tv and mum always loves your reactions to the games and how you love the goal umpires, she finds it hilarious!! It's always funny to see someone from a different country learn about our culture in terms of snacks and names etc. Can't wait to see you suss out the different snacks and get your impressions of them!
Much appreciated! Glad your mum likes them too :) Tell her I said hi! haha
@@MenkeYT I'll be sure to do so mate! Keep up the legendary work
U r going to love the Tim tams
Love that your American and you like afl and Australian cricket
Awesome!!
Damn I gained so much respected when he made the joke about Collingwood teeth
And if he eats all of that sugar...
He'll end up with a set of Collingwood teeth!
put the milo ontop of a bowl of icecream :D
Mate those mint slices are pretty addictive
If you are going to go the Aussie snacks you have to make Fairy Bread. Fresh white bread, even layer of BUTTER and covered with an even layer of hundreds and thousands (multi coloured ball sprinkles) gently pressed down then cut into triangles standard working class kids party food
Alan Kohn but has to be proper 100s and 1000s not sprinkles. Seen too many of these videos were they use sprinkles.
@@kayelle8005 Sadly america is too primitive to have 100's and 1000's so they'll have to use sprinkles :(
Milo is pronounced; My-low.
Great video 👍
And the double coat Tim Tams are the best!!!
Repping my hometown of Adelaide. Nice
Squirrel u have made him a true Australian
"This is a cool bag which does it say" *coles* ahahaha
Fruit chocs are owned and made in Adelaide south australia
Aly Zauch I’ve never heard of them or bumbles.
Menzes chocolates made right here in Adelaide, they have a factory and a shop out front of factory where you can but the seconds or damaged lollies, they are the company bringing back the good old Polly woffles.
Good on ya James’s. 👍🏼🇦🇺 go Eagles 😁
Milo sprinkle on ice cream yum
Tim tams are hectic dude.👍🏻👍🏻🤤🤤
Loving the strikers indigenous shirt👌💯
I have been reliably informed that Mint Slices have a thicker mint filling than your Girl Scout Thin Mints.
We got dem thicc mints!
