- satisfying abstract painting using a palette knife and brush. I used the palette knife to layer the acrylics, what creates the lovely textures. The brush is used for the smooth blending and to add some splashes.

This painting brought to mind the big bang. Your choice of colors was impressive. When you added the flicks of white at the end I was convinced. Genesis.
I LOVE your videos. My only critique is that we PLEASE need to know what colors you are using each time!!! The kind of paint isn't very important but adding "bright red, light pink, rose gold, copper, dark blue, turquoise, etc." Would be EXTREMELY helpful to beginners like me!!! You have given me the courage to try to start painting. Now I just need an idea of colors. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for sharing your skill with us!!!

I've attempted a few of these paintings and the problem for me is that i run out of paint on the streaks....leaving a bunch of "holidays" (unpainted spots) on the canvas. Do you use a little water?
I have the same issue and found if I put some paint on the space of the canvas and just blend it in.
Extremely creative art work! But how do you match up the wall paint to sync with your art work?

I love your work, I tried one, but my colours mixes to much in the end, no idea what I do wrong. I guess it's trail and error. Are your canvas wet or dry when you please.
from the videos i've seen he starts with a dry canvas, the more you work the paint the more it will blend, he doesn't pull much paint with his stokes so he has a dryer brush and overlap colors very far so he has a tight blend and a more distinct color separation. I haven't had time to try it yet and the acrylic i had was too wet but have bought some tubes of paint and will be trying it soon.....
Thanks a lot :-) Where did your colors mix too much, when adding paint with the palette knife or while blending with the brush at the end? Maybe your colors are to fluid, try some heavy body acrylics.

PLEASE answer quickly! I need to do some paintings tomorrow! Can I use the acrylic paints in the little bottles (Apple Barrell, Anita's, etc.) to do paintings like this or do I have to use the paints in the tubes? Thank you in advance for any help!
I think it should work fine with bottles too.

What do you use to flick the paint?
I use a palette knife.
