I don't consider Christianity religious, its more of an intimate relationship with God. He sent his son to die on the cross for your sins and He rose again you just have to believe and follow him to have eternal life! i am praying for you

I read the intended meaning, but it kind of falls flat, because I can really only hear this song as half of a toxic, dependent relationship.

Good song but I will say it's an angry song. I know it's saying reach for me but I'm curious as to how it will lead to Jesus Christ. Say I'm a teen or a bitter grown adult listening to this song and I'm bitter and angry with a mother or father who didn't raise me .what if I'm the parent and hearing this song and I've made mistakes I didn't raise my kids in fact let's assume I had different father's or mothers to each child. Say I'm a born again parent and I am not the way I was and my kid finds me and say they play this song for me..what if I all ready feel condemned and guilty and ashamed. See this song doesn't vibe Christ to me it is another angry song that can fuel the anger of an all ready angry hate filled generation. I like skillet but this theology in this song isn't biblical..its dangerous.
It's not written for a missing parent. It's written for one of the singer's friends who had cancer and was told she had very little time left and her journey from those news to finding God. It is about being angry and bitter, but then reaching out and finding God. Not everyone has a perfect journey to finding God. They talk about it in their channel if you want to check it out^^
