  • Video to show setting of the bias from fully 'turned down' position (all the way counter-clockwise) to the point of crackling and then turning back until crackling stops. It is a simple procedure used to apply maximum charge to the membrane which allows maximum sensitivity - factors such as temperature, humidity and altitude (and their combination) will allow for more or less bias which is why this control is very useful. If environment changes throughout the year in your room, you might find it necessary to turn down the bias slightly if required - for example during rainy season where I live in Japan. Crackling is in no way harmful to your panel. Feel free to contact for any questions.
