TORNADO EMERGENCY in West Texas!

Probably the most monstrous mesocyclone I’ve seen in my entire life. The May 30th Midland/Odessa, Texas supercell brought every single hazard you can possibly imagine…several tornadoes (including a violent one), softball sized hail, damaging winds, flooding rain, and frequent lightning. Visually, it was EXTREMELY photogenic and moved at a snails pace…perfect for chasing. Unfortunately I lost the front windshield due to hail damage but near the hail core where the highest amount of hail fell, it was MUCH worse than what we experienced.The strongest tornado of the day (and the one I photographed) earned an EF-3 rating, leaving behind ground scouring in its wake. Thankfully, this tornado did not take any lives due to its rural location.
