    Hi I only just found you and really enjoyed your garden tour, I can relate to so many things you mentioned, getting behind with the planting out etc 😃 I think your elf house was delightful especially from the elf eye view at the end, you've inspired me. Blessings

    Hi i hope you are well. I absolutely loved this vlog. Honestly it was just so relaxing, calming and therapeutic to watch. You have a beautiful little cottage garden. This is something i'd love. Please do more vlogs like this. It was just so lovely. Thank you for letting us see your garden. Your cats have the life of Riley. Sitting in the sun sleeping all day. Such bliss. x

    I have run out of space for planting in my garden now and all my windowsills are full up so I have begun 'Guerrilla gardening' in the local park instead - putting out fruit bushes and herbs for the local community to enjoy. If you live in the Lowedges area of Sheffield and you see some strawberries, Logan berries, mint, sage, peppers, tomatoes, artichokes and asparagus whilst out for a stroll in the park then please feel free to help yourself to what you need from them as they are there for everyone. 👍

      ah excellent! good idea. I did find some melons growing in our woods a couple of years ago. Yeah, it's a great idea. I was thinking of putting out a couple of baby cherry trees that seem to be growing in my pots.. I think that's what they are? And the birds love the raspberries, as do the bees, so the more the merrier.

      @@TheWitchInTheWoods Another tip I would give you for becoming more self sufficient with limited space is maybe set up a co-op with friends or neighbours growing different types of fruit veg and herbs depending on how much space you have and you can then swap or barter with the produce you create. I always grow more than I personally need and at present I have 200+Jalapeno chilli plants growing in my home. Once they are fully grown they have a commercial value of around £5.99 each if you were to buy them from garden centres so it is a practical and tax free form of wealth creation with an estimated profit margin of £1198 from an initial outgoing cost of £20 as the seeds were sourced from salads and the growing containers and pots were recycled aerosol can lids with punctured bottoms for drainage (taken from the plastic recycling bin) so I was only paying for growing compost and plant feed
      Another good tip for growing in limited space is a technique known as 'intercropping' which involves growing fast and slow growing crops in the same space so the faster growing ones are harvested to create more space the slower ones mature.
      The native Americans had an intercropping method beautifully and poetically called 'the 3 sisters' and used it to grow quash, sweetcorn and climbing beans in the same bed the sweetcorn stems provided a structure for the beans to climb whilst the spreading squash foliage acts as a living mulch to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture. All these avenues are well worth looking in to, and are highly and personally recommended.

    Thank you for another lovely video. Your garden is peaceful and pretty, and I hope the elves like the house you've made for them. The full moon was beautiful here over the long weekend, sailing serenely across the dark empty sky opposite my bedroom window, filling my eyes and heart with her wonderful witchy wildness. I love her!

      Yes, it was a very powerful moon. I didn't take it in enough, but I felt it.

    It does sound peaceful in your garden, bird song and all, any tadpoles yet in the pond? i had sh loads of frogspawn but no tadys, must not have been fertile or late frost got em, shame

    • @TheWitchInTheWoods
      @TheWitchInTheWoods  2 года назад +1

      That is sad. No, I didn't get any frogspawn. I was disappointed, but I think the pond is not quiet or deep enough for frogspawn. I did think of putting in a higher pool, which was deeper and more secluded..... with a little woodland grotto waterfall feature.. but that's maybe for another day ;)
