PLEASE WATCH 1080HD.
Because no other character will ever replace Elena Gilbert in my heart.
You may think it's a little early to say goodbye to this amazing character, but the truth, is that I already said my goodbyes. No ending will ever be good enough. I know that I'll be disappointed with the season finale, mostly, because it should be a SHOW finale.
And I saw so many of you so sad (I know how you all feel #hugsforallofyou) that I decided to upload this video earlier. I was going to publish it only next weekend but I have a delena video planned to publish on friday (a long one, 5 minutes, more or less) and I wanted to remind you of all the good stuff that this ray of sunshine gave to us. I won't make sad videos about Elena, and probably, not about delena too. The one I have planned, is supposed to show all the loveable moments that my biggest otp ever gave to me. And I tried to do the same with this one.
Elena Gilbert was the reason I started to watch this show. She taught me so much and she was the only character of the show that I truly loved since day one until now. I had my moments, when I wanted her to have different reactions or whatever, but she was always my "warrior princess". And that's why the show will be over for me in less than a week. I love Damon with all my heart, but it just doesn't make sense anymore. Elena Gilbert will be always the heart of the show. And when she leaves, I leave.
I'll just pretend that the show finished after that amazing delena scene, that they had sex in the barn, jolaric is married and happy and damon drank the cure from her. Now they'll be happy, human, with babies, a lot of sex and they'll die from old age, together.
Last but not least, I want to say a huge thank you to Nina Dobrev: Thanks princess, for these amazing six years and for being the perfect Elena.
(I wish for Nina to watch this video someday. A girl can dream right? :'))

When we first saw her she felt sad little girl who was lost and put herself down and now she's Blossom to a confident kind and selfless woman I am so proud of Elena.
Katie Bug yes!!!! ppl are like she completely changed when she turned, no, she grew up, became more confident and independent AND stood up for herself and ppl didn't like that but it wasn't the sirebond, that confidence AND Independence was ALWAYS in there, she was just TOO scared to stand up for herself.
I feel like for so many years, people have labelled Elena as the 'weak' one. The one that's always crying, never seems to cope with her traumas and relies on men to get her through tough situations. I'll admit, for a while, that's exactly what I thought of her. It's only after hearing that Nina Dobrev is leaving the cast that I realise just how amazing the character of Elena Gilbert truly is. I can't believe the show's going to continue without her. Words can't express how much I'll miss her.

Despite what everyone thought about her; the betrayal, the selfishness, all of that, she was trying to make a better life for herself so she wouldn't be lost as soon as she lost someone. Soon as she has the opportunity I hope we get to see her be a mom. Damon be a dad too, for that matter..
I think her leaving was so heartbreaking because it had to be done; the words she said in that last episode gave some people the strength to move on in their own lives and realize what it is they're fighting for. She's was a beautiful person inside and out; both her character and the actress herself. I for one will miss the hell outta her.

What I love about Elena Gilbert was that she was so relatable. Her choices and decisions were always made out of love. Everything that she did was because she cared and loved and I do the same things. I will miss her character and I can't wait until she appears on the last episode of TVD.

Can anyone blame Stefan for getting back with Rebekah? Elena hooked up with his brother days after their break-up, which has to be a tough blow for anyone. Not only that, but he finds out they’re already in love. Elena’s surprised and hurt at the news that Stefan and Rebekah got together, but at this point Stefan deserved to do whatever he wanted.
She is the heart of the show❤

Elena Gilbert went through so much during her life and she's always been strong.
She saw her parents die, then her aunt, then her brother. She was dragged into this supernatural universe, she was mentally and physically abused by countless of those creatures, she was killed and came back to life as a vampire and still managed to enjoy her life always threatened by someone.
And now...now that she has one freaking chance to be happy, to have the life she always wanted, to be with her one true love whom is willing to live a human life with her she will probably be put in a come for 60 freaking years???
WHERE IS THE JUSTICE??? THIS ANGEL DOESN'T DESERVE THAT.
But thank you hun because this is the PERFECT tribute for her and you should never stop dreaming because Nina has to watch this (I already tweeted it to her btw).

I absolutely love elena gilbert . Although there are many in tvd Fandom that hate her but I just cannot bring myself to hate her.Yeah there were many instances where I felt she was wrong or was going in wrong direction. I'll never forgive the writers for destroying such a beautiful character. She was one of my favorite characters.
Elena's lines were the cringiest of them all, but Nina Dobrev somehow made them so so meaningful. She made me laugh and sob and dance and break down and want to break something all at the same time. So yeah, thank you Nina Dobrev, you really changed my life and keep doing it to this day. I love you.
P.S yes, I am still crying about this 5 years later, but she's become such an important person in my life and she's inspired me to be better, and she's just taught me so much. So yeah.

Um in the books Damon and Elena were together as well....Calling a relationship that had nothing but build up over the course of 4 seasons before actually getting together "fan service" is ridiculous....In fact calling Delena "fan service" is just laughable at this point.
The show started out as a love triangle....She was never going to end up with just Stefan.....And it's incredibly selfish how Stelena fans can't get over the fact that she chose Damon in the end...It's been said that TVD is about the story of how Elena feel for Damon.

This is a FREAKING MASTERPIECE! I miss her sfm and I'm so glad she's coming back!!! I've loved Elena since the beginning, she became my favorite character though in s4, it was katherine but that changed and honestly idk why so many hate her, she's a great female character, she's brave and strong and tries to be the best person she can be. Idk if I could survive all she has. People hate her because who she chooses to be with and that's not right, I'm a DE shipper but I still loved her even when she was with Stefan, she doesn't DESERVE all the hate honestly no character on TVD is PERFECT, that's what makes them great characters because they grow and have flaws and aren't perfect, they make mistakes! I loved her and still do but they ruined her when they broke her and Stefan up. They went about it in the wrong way, they turned her into something she was not to try and explain her reasoning for loving Damon. Yes, she belonged with Stefan but Delena was amazing too and during their best they were beautiful but overall, they were toxic and dragging each other down dark paths. I'm just glad in the end, she was more like her former self, the Elena that I fell in love with.
galaxyedits Every relationship on this show was/is toxic...that includes Stelena...Not sure where you people are getting this picture perfect relationship that could do no wrong with Stelena...But by S3 that relationship took a huge hit.
The Wickery bridge incident? Throwing her cell phone out the window while leaving her with no ride home? blood lust tendencies? Human blood bag references? That is just as toxic as people claim Delena is.
And Stefan is to blame for most of it....He spent all of his time rolling around with Klaus while pushing Elena away....By that time Elena had feelings for Damon but tried as best as she could to fight against them and continued to fight for Stefan.
What exactly did you want her to do? Stay with Stefan until he sorted his shit out with Klaus? That's incredibly selfish...Almost as selfish when you can't accept the fact that she chose Damon in the end...The one who made her feel more alive....not some broken toy who needed to be fixed.
The thing is, people are going to change over 6 seasons. That's one of the things I feel this television show ismost about. When Caroline, Elena Alaric anyone that turned into a vampire. They changed and so did Elena. that's another thing we just have to accept. And in the end Elena fell right where where she was in season 1 even if you can't really see it. ( this is my opinion )

What friends has Damon killed with the exception of Aaron Whitmore who Elena knew for less than 2 weeks? Adding in Aaron Whitmore stemmed from a bloodline that did nothing but torture/experiment on vampires...Damon being one of them...So it's no surprise that Damon would kill him.
Isobel came to Damon initially WANTING to be turned.....Adding in Damon didn't even know Elena at the time nor did he know she existed.
Half of the BS you posted he's already been forgiven for and spent seasons worth of redeeming himself....That's called character development....But sure let's IGNORE that and pull out shit that happened seasons ago.

+bestwatch there's a reason she is her rock, it must be hard to evaluate a life that is difficult to enjoy living in it. Maybe she/he is having a hard time in their life and they latch onto fictional characters because it gives them joy. It even teaches other what love, friends and family is really all about. Shows and fictional characters can give a big affect to someones life because they're lonely and they can't find anyone else.

{This is 2 years later from when you initially posted this but I felt the need to comment after just watching this} I loved this so much I miss Elena so so so so much and she was such a big part of The vampire diaries but not only that, she became more apart of my life more than any other character on The Vampire Diaries or any other television show for that matter and it had hurt so much saying goodbye but knowing there is a possibility she may come back makes me think watching the last season without Nina or Elena was worth it and watching this made me feel not only that but it makes me feel strong for Elena amazing job and again I'm sorry this is so long and that its so much later than it was originally posted:)
