I loved this reaction. I like how you guys humanize the events of the show. For the guy on the end arguing about Magneto. Bastion is an Android made from Nimrod and Master Mold. He fused humans and technology to create the human sentinels we saw in this season. One last thing, can you all keep your instagram handles on the lower part of the screen during the intro and the discussion parts of your video so fans can see your names and follow you on social media? I watch your videos all the time and still don't know all of your names.
I definitely understand why Magneto has to be stopped but OZT is human program. Created by some of the most powerful humans in the world. For instance Val copper was a part of the program and they planned the genocide. You can not be part of terrorist war criminal origination like OZT and then claim you are not a terrorist or war criminal because you did not know everything.
@@joelsasmad Cause people are stupid @need killer robots. The X-Men comics shows the irrational fear of the unknown some humans have. The threat of them being replaced by mutants automatically triggers fight or flight. U can argue thats the basis of racism. Preserve the human race, or "their" idea of what the human race is suppose to be. Even if it means creating mutant killing robots which is so ironic because the robots down the line realize mutants are humans so they start to end all humans. They just created their own doom. And sentinels are not the only counter measure that was thought up. Weapon Plus was initially created to create weapons to eliminate mutants. Cap America was suppose to be a weapon against mutants and all the other weapons created after him. Which again is hilarious and sad that they fear mutants but Avengers and others who can squash them just as easily as a mutant with similar powers they don't hate.
Not to be rude. But you guys calling Scott stupid is absolutely ridiculous. If Professor X made Magneto turn the power back on Badtion would reactivate his prime sentinels and the team would die.

To be fair to them, the episode didn't really focus on this element during that crucial moment. Seeing a LOT of people pissed at Scott in that scene because they made it look like Scott was pitying Magneto.

Jean linked to Scott and he could see that they hadn't completed the task. They already said that that team had to finish their job first. It honestly couldn't have been clearer.

Cyclops stopped Xavier bc if they undo magneto black out. All sentinels will come back online and Gold team will for sure be overwhelmed and overpowered. That’s why Gold team needed more time to stop bastion

There’s always been mutates with enough similarity to mutants everywhere from Hulk to Spider-Man but in the Marvel universe the biggest distinction between Mutants and Mutates has always been the fact that Mutants are natural born.
Mutants naturally occur even among two regular human parents with no sentinel tech or magic or radiation. That’s what makes them an existential threat to humanity.
It’s nature just deciding that human beings are being surpassed and there’s NOTHING they can do stop it.

Just to clarify Scott had to do what he did to Xavier because if you guys recall a few moments earlier he said the other team would need more time, if Xavier had taken control of magneto and fixed the earth at that moment then the prime sentinels would’ve come back online and the remaining mutants fighting bastion would’ve died.
Plus bastion isn’t a mutant he’s the result of years of sentinel evolution which was created by humans.

Rob, Humans made Bastion. The government knew about the sentinel program and allowed it to continue until it got out of hand but at that point it was too late. Trask’s main intention was to eradicate mutants and humanity already had resentful views toward mutants and eventually believed mutants should be eradicated. So in short Bastion is doing this so Humanity will live on and mutants will die out.
Magneto killed many people with the blackout but would you rather him surrender and turned into a slave with all other mutants until death?

Whether Scott is aware of it consciously or not in his mind Magneto winning and killing all humans is the lesser evil than Bastion winning and killing all mutants.

Magneto was right, after trying his best to walk the professors path the reward he got was watching his people get annihilated. Even after that he didnt turn evil he had to emp the planet or else the prime sentinels wouldve wiped out everyone left of the mutant species. Bastion was literally doing his victory lap, magneto saved all mutants lives. Then when he approached the xmen he didnt come with violence he came to talk to the people he considers close, and left without harming a soul. He told Charles the cold hard truth that walking Charles path lead to destruction, and he wont just let his people get exterminated. Then after that the xmen pull up to his house to jump him lmao since when is that how you repay the man that singlehandedly saved all of your lives. I dont think people understand how bad Bastions future plans are, it had to be stopped by ANY means. If it wasnt that bad Cable wouldnt have came back. Cable even said "Charles Xaviers dream came true" talking about the hell he had to survive of mutant genocide and enslavement. They shouldve just genuinely asked Magneto for help to defeat Bastion even if he had to lead the mission but instead they tell the mf that just went through a genocide he was wrong i cant understand it lol
They really adapted Magneto ripping the adamantium out of Wolverine. Also wasn’t expecting Cable to be that strong, guaranteed I think Jean was holding back since she was on the defensive mode. I think we might get Onslaught or Phoenix next episode, or maybe both, who knows.
Cable would be the strongest telepath alive if he didn't need to use part of his powers to keep the techno-organic virus at bay.

This show supercedes anything the old series could do. Too many limitations before, not to mention the show is being made by hardcore fans now. X-Men '97 is everything I wanted the old series to be. The cinematic splendor, weight, and grandeur of this series is eXcellent.

Fatal Attractions #25! They did it! Magneto is brutal. They adapted Lifedeath, E For Extinction, Operation: Zero Tolerance, and Fatal Attractions all in one season. I can’t wait to see what season 2 and season 3 will adapt next. X-Men ‘97 has been awesome! Wolverine lost himself for a while, but he gets his adamantium back.

I really love the discourse during the viewing. It goes to show the quality of Beau de Mayo's writing- Anger towards Rogue, frustration with Magneto, defending Magneto, supporting Roberto's choice, not supporting Roberto's choice, understanding the need for sentinels, opposing the use of sentinels... These character arcs are representative of the complexities of the real-life issues we are struggling with today. X-Men will forever be THE comic book IP.

Rob is wrong. Sentinels are not defensive weapons to protect humans. Humans and governments made Sentinels to hunt mutants. Sentinels were never for protection. If Magneto hadn't shut the new human-hybrid sentinels down, the mutants likely would have been exterminated. Magento did everything correctly and the humans slaughtered the mutant population of Genosha. Magento is a holocaust survivor and that Genosha was the last straw.
Also, Bastion isn't a mutant. Professor X said he detected Bastion's power via Cerebro and assumed Bastion was a mutant. Bastion was not a mutant. Bastion was created by advanced sentinels with the intent of making generation of sentinels that will destroy mutants. Lastly, Rogue was previously aligned and involved with Magento. It's not that much of a leap for someone who just lost someone special (Gambit) and who blames Professor X for their predicament to rejoin Magneto.

This episode is truly remarkable, and the action is masterful! THAT ENDING WAS INSANE ASF!!!
While understanding Charles's reasoning for giving Magneto the mansion, the man still neglected his students and pupils. Look where they are now: on the brink of war, he lost two team members to Magneto (Rogue literally went rogue). I love how Storm and Jean see each other as sisters, and their bond together is really wholesome. That line: “Make them mind your weather, sister. And them weather your mind" is such a good line!
I find it interesting that Bastion still loves his mother despite what he did to her and turned her into a sentinel zombie, which makes me think he's not as emotionless and robotic as we were made to believe since he is part human. It's scary how powerful Bastion is, considering he's basically a one-man Sentinel factory.
Nah, the animation in this show is PHENOMENAL AND GIVES ME MAJOR ANIME VIBES, I LOVE IT!
You can tell Magneot has been wanting to say "SHUT THE F*** UP" to Charles for a while, and that alone is hilarious!

Im commenting as im watching so idk if y'all caught it later in the video but the reason Scott told the professor that gold team needed more time is because if professor made magneto use his powers to fix the earth's magnetism, the prime sentinels would re-activate cause bastion hadn't been taken out it

This episode pissed me off. Professor X came back to get dissed by Cyclops and Rogue when all he ever did was try to help them. Plus he was dying when Lilandra took him he didn’t have a choice. Then everybody calling Magneto a villain like Genosha was his fault.
In case anyone missed it there's a little easter egg of the humans being Prime Sentinels in the opening credits, when the Xmen and the villains clash, so cool!!!
