- As I just arrived at the station to get my ETS ticket for the Deepavali trip, saw 29103 Merbau coupled with an SCS, which is SCS 32, waiting for signal clearance at Platform 1 this afternoon. Was told by the ticket checker that the train failed due to the snapping of an overhead cable between Tasek Gelugor and Sungai Petani, so the train had to be pulled by Class 29 Locomotive, 29103 Merbau.

Why happened this train commuter and locomotive
So the train is still in svc to complete the trip, only that it's pulled by 29103?
Perhaps, but the train was Taken out of service at Platform 1 of Bukit Mertajam Station, why I said this before the set was empty at that moment....
The train failed near KM 5 (Penanti) as told by my friend who was on duty for 29103 , that pulled the SCS (SCS 32) ,If i'm not mistaken, it was on duty as Komuter 2963 from Padang Besar when it happened...
@@lakshman.official.channel ah I see. So pax had to de-train at Tasek Gelugor/Bt Mertajam & seek alternative svcs to Butterworth then. Or wait for the replacement set.
Might as well have pulled all the way to Butterworth though. 🤣 I mean, it still have to pull all the way to Bt Tengah, at least anyway.
Likely, btw there was actually a replacement set for the northbound service to Padang Besar which was Komuter 2964 , it was a SCS train set.
