FS17 Timelapse, Rattlesnake Valley #9: Barley Harvest!

- In today's Farming Simulator 17 time lapse video, which is set in the 4x map of Rattlesnake Valley-
We have lots of things to do with the sheep, the machines in the yard to keep full and running producing plenty of fertilizer, and water to move. Once that's all done we've got a full harvest to do and planting to get done, which at least is an excuse to use the Big Bud again!

Setting the combines going round in circles using AI Extension would've worked a bit better than Follow Me. As long as you give the first combine a bit of lead so the second one doesn't get caught up by the first one turning at the ends.
Good video though, enjoying this timelapse series so far. :)
I'm going to give it a go on the next harvest, however I've heard that it doesn't work well with the CR10.90's
Frithgar Not had a problem myself with them. The Class 700 & Dominator combine mods certainly work well with auto combine, subject of course to map having good field edge definitions...
If you wanna do circles in the fields easier, use the AI Vehicle Extension on the time lapse series :D
Frithgar why dont you buy more silo tanks for the main farm storage

Great! Those fields are really big! Although not as valuable as the crop, the straw bales are quite valuable. Why not auto-bale them following (or even attached to) the harvester? Is it because it's such a PITA to get them into the barn?

In the meantime, I just learned about the 'chopped straw' mod that you are using. That is another reason: free fertilizer :). I just started the new Westbridge Hills. I am going to see if I can prepare it for the chopped straw mod.

great vids. suggestion, if the Brent is the big bud one then get it red with tracks, my opinion though.

I don't know how you do it Frithgar. At a certain point I get overwhelmed with a 4x map and becomes no fun.. My hat off to you mate.
When I reach the point where I'm not enjoying it and want a change, it's time to move on :)

That factory that you were inquiring about is a soy milk factory. I believe you also get slurry or manure as a by-product. There is also a placeable version of it. Speaking of which, have you seen any of the Svapa Agro placeable factories and greenhouses? They allow you to take your primary products and turn them into something else which is worth more money. One in particular I thought of is the Weaver they just recently released because of all the wool you have stockpiled. Not sure if that necessarily interests you but it could be something to look at in the future if you feel like the game starts to get stale. One thing to note though is that some of them require a fair bit of level ground as they can be on the large side. Some things like their greenhouses are fairly small though.

frithgar why dont you use conveyor belts at the fertiliser thing? it would make it easier :)
