about 35 years ago i saw the kinks live at the hollywood palladium. they played this song,and when they got to the chorus "you can see all the stars as you walk along hollywood boulevard" everyone in the audience pointed outside toward the actual blvd. which was just a couple of blocks away. it was one of the most memorable moments in my nearly 50 years of concert going experiences. today we have movie actors and actresses,but not stars like the golden age of hollywood. cinema is a totally different business in the 21st century.
