I have wondered if entertainers look at performing as work. If they look at performing the way a farmer would look at tilling a field. John earned a life with all of the amenities.

@@lilybond6485 I was around for the Kennedy assassination, but I was only four about to turn five. I just recall watching the funeral on TV. Ultimately, though, music unites; politics divides, which is ever so obvious today. Lennon was about peace. Kennedy's administration set the stage for the Vietnam War. Kennedy did do a lot of good, but not consistently, whereas Lennon wrote positive songs that stay with us today. "Imagine" will always persevere because it offers us a world that is not in the vocabulary of politicians. If only politicians were musicians, our world would be a much better place. (I am a singer-songwriter, so I can relate to Lennon and his purpose closely.)

John Lennon's untimely death was the greatest tragedy ever. It marked the end of innocence for many of us. My heart still bleeds for Sean.

Throughout the video Lennon, bearded and dressed smarty, looks like the English aristocrat he'd otherwise loath being considered to be.
