Just listening to the rest of the interview and fully agree with that stance on the medical establishment view on these illnesses. My beef was that the specialists seem to have no concern about your health, they were only concerned with the symptoms, and the reaction to the experimental medicines they give you. I had a similar reaction from those drugs, got eczema, nerve damage - multiple sclerosis, mouth ulcers. Was probably on my way to cancer I reckon. I gave up on them and feel like I healed my gut through cutting out ultra processed foods and quit loading up on heavy carb meals. Living mostly on animal products. When you ask an IBD specialist what to eat they will tell you "we don't know, just keep a food diary and look for a pattern" - that's piss poor in my opinion, and exactly what I mean by they have no concern for your health. When I told them since changing to this way of eating I have had zero symptoms, they don't want to hear it, only interested in loading you up with drugs.
This is probably the realest interview i have ever watched. Verbs is such a good dude and this has made me want to go and relisten to the entire discography, but with new ears. Fair play to Blade for making this happen.
His track Medicate from the Medicated Dreams album got me through the hardest time in my life and I’m sure I’ve let him know multiple times through Twitter or Insta over the years but honestly the fact that he wrote that about something so different too what i was going through at the time but somehow still had so much relatability to my situation is honestly just a perfect example of why he’s so respected as an artist. Hopefully one day i can thank him in person, Medicate and so many other of his tracks has been like therapy in dark times. Big ups Blade and Verb T for this interview, been a while since i watched an interview all the way through like that. ❤
The most consistent and real man. Great to hear the man behind the rhymes. Talk about telling it exactly like it is. Love the fact Vadim gets a mention. Back to Basics and Back Hand Slap Talk shaped many stans reality. To hear the struggle is inspiring. Legend.
@@0521Officialyea man - defo up for coming down again - it’s been a long time! Will make it happen! Such a great interview…. I’m exhausted after a couple of busy days but I can’t stop watching lols!!!
Dope interview!! It was great hearing about how Verb came up and the struggles he’s faced along the way. I think people will appreciate him more as an artist from this. Great job 05.21 big up Blade every single time!!!
Verb T - Time served UK rap royalty . I remember watching him on the south coast years back and knew he would last the distance. #TheFourOwls - super group - nuff said.
Another dope interview B! Verb T is one of the best in the game and a top bloke. Spoke to him in Southampton the other week before he killed it on the mic👊 Need a King Kashmere interview.
Super dope interview! I have a lot of great memories with this dude. Definitely appreciate how open he was about his health. I remember doing a show w him and Kashmere in Bournemouth like a decade ago and both me and Verb T were suffering w our somewhat very similar health issues that day. I also almost had a toilet moment performing with him, Kash & Last Skeptik in Wales 😂. Glad to see he has overcome the health stuff & is doing well.
@crossbonet I recall us having long chats about your health issues but had no idea about Verb's at the time. Mad to think both of you were going through it at the same time. Hope you're good bro 🙏🏼
Yeah man, I remember when his health issues started. Seeing him push through definitely kept me going a little longer. I’m good man, still mixing & helping to develop plugins. Crossing off legends and companies I’ve always wanted to work with (Defari, Casual, Rockness Monsta, Frank Nitt, AG, Kool Keith & more in the last 6 months alone) so it’s hard to complain right now lol.
Thanks for watching bro, and for having venues still making it possible for these shows to happen and keep the legacies alive while introducing emerging talent too

I rate Verb T as an artist. However that white washing discussion was clearly triggering for you both “I don’t see colour 🙄” and a massive misunderstanding of the issue. Hip Hop culture is Black culture, the UK Hip Hop scene that’s been built is essentially a majority white scene completely divorced from the British Black community. Even you Blade you don’t acknowledge the wealth of talented and amazing rappers from the what has been called “UK Rap” as Hip Hop music, you call Dave and co Grime artists. I’ve heard you blanket all these amazing UK rappers as “grime”. The state of UK rap is amazing at the moment. This UK Hip Hop scene has divorced completely away from the Black community, this is why none of this UK Hip Hop music crosses over into mainstream Urban culture. I can’t remember the argument regarding High Focus, but I’d assume the issue with it being majority white artists would be because the white guy running the label relates to white rappers more, it’s not just “they’re dope”, because what’s good is subjective. Which is fair enough I guess, but worth discussing. The UK Hip Hop scene that you guys are in has been majority white and middle class for over 20 years now. Tbh I’d love to see more cross pollination with the UK Hip Hop scene and all the amazing artists doing stuff now. Like the Unknown T and Loyle Carner tune.
A real inspiration is Verb T.
Are you the real Dike?
Big props and respect to Verb T...Great to see him stronger than ever!
