I absolutely love it when you talk about Marko. I'm like "yes! He gets it!", I can see the true appreciation in you. I loved this song and your reaction to it. Thank you!
You can always recognize Marko's voice, yet it has 1,000 different facets. He can harmonize with anyone and make everyone sound better just by the solid strength of his voice. I do like her voice, also. It is clear and bright and has a familiarity about it. Both of them have th ability to reach out and touch you. This is a very interesting collaboration.
Have to admid I had never heard of Patty Gurdy but the song appeared to my wall because of Marko. Now I have looked the video for 3 or 4 times and they are both wonderful.
Fun fact: Patty Gurdy was in German Eurovision selection 2023 (ie. "German UMK"), with song "Melodies of Hope", but did not do well... But since that, I love her music, anyway, she has been very underrated but I hope with this, she will break even ;) Love this collab!
I would love to hear a collaboration between Marko Hietala and Tommy Johansson some day, and honestly a collaboration between Patty Gurdy and Tommy Johansson would also be great to see. :) Thanks for a great reaction, as always!
Because you love Marko too, you absolutely need to check his performance from a Finnish music program-show called "Vain elämää". There are 7 Finnish singers/artists and everyone hostes their own day, when all the others artists perform their own version of a song from that artists production. Sooo different and excellent performances. BUT check Marko Hietalas "Mörkö Mainio" live version from Vain Elämää....😂❤ it is originally a song for kids, but perhaps not anymore 😄 Thanks for your great reaction s🤗
Hello my young friend. Patty said she wrote some tavern songs and ended up making a movie. I'm still waiting on being able to preorder the movie and CD, but alas, not available yet in US. When I watched and heard the long awaited Scardust Patty Gurdy concert in Isreal, First 45 min was Scardust. Then Noa Gruman introduced Patty as a Trail Blazer in her genre. Then Patty did 45 min to a mostly Metal crowd. She actually had them singing to Molly Malone. Then the last 45 was Scardust and Patty together. Scardust vocals are intense. Of course they did concrete Cages, however since Noa and Patty's friendship I feel that Patty has increased her voice. They also performed one of my favorite Scardust pieces that's a bit out there for some. It has a lot of Harsh mixed in with seral jazz influence vocals. Patty actually sang some of the Harsh leaving the highs to Noa which was crazy. Then at the end of the piece it sends with a real serial high note on vocals. Noa gave it to Patty. I didn't realize how much her voice changed with Noa. As far as performers go, there will always be extremely talented players that will never hear from. You only hear a few because of the media of the now. I played Brass Quintet with phenomenal players you'll never hear. And also big band players I've performed with. It's a pleasure when you find them. Oldman rant. Nice reaction. Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. 🍻❤️🤘
