I pick up a lot from your videos Bob. Krea, Glif etc. This looks good too, but I'm a bit hesitant with uploading videos with my face, but I might be a bit overly cautious here. And your subtle humour keeps me laughing, thnx!
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate you watching! I've long since let go of issues with my face being "out there." I've been in media for 40 years...too late for me. :D And really, anyone with a Photo section in their facebook account has the same exposure as any of these platforms, in the right hands.
Hey bob, sync is still out. Content is still great. What is interesting is the AI sync looks good where the AI video follows your face, but the on camera of you talking straight to camera is out. So that hints that it is not RUclips related but recording/encoding based.
@@tonyr.4778 it is not out for everybody. I’ve had that verified numerous times. I have no idea why it occurs that way for some people and not others. sorry it’s happening to you.
@@cinematictrailerstudios this is what I like to hear because it’s an example of return on investment. When you’re making $1000 with three jobs, even paying 100 bucks a month for the unlimited plan doesn’t seem like that much. But if you’re just making videos to impress yourself, then you have a skewed perception of the value of the tool. So happy to hear about people utilizing it for real production. Thanks so much for watching!
@@ian2593 yeah, it’s pretty easy to burn through these credits. Especially with the ability to record right on the screen. Again, if you’re a real filmmaker and you’re doing something to make money with this stuff, it’s a bargain anyway you slice it over paying real actors and such. I would think if you were a working professional, buying the unlimited plan would be the way to go. If I made films on a regular basis, I would absolutely do it. It would be nice if there was something between the pro and unlimited plans.
@@BobDoyleMedia Yeah. We often have to do demos before getting the gig. Is LivePortrait or another platform a better option for rougher presentations? We also do hobbyist stuff for fun which doesn't pay. Thanks.
I’ve been using crazy talk since version one. The point of Act 1 is to be able to use driving videos so you can put the exact expression you want and not let AI interpret what the lips should do based on the words.
I've tried so many phone apps and AI web programs to animate specifcly 2D cartoon faces and most of the time it don;t work because it has to have a define human face with eyes , nose and and perfect mouth like a human which many cartoons don't because they way they were drawn. I have a feeling this "Act 1" will work from what you showed me in the video. I need to try this out and see if I'm right. If t works , this is a game changer. Thanks for the video
These companies need to change their business model. You only pay for the videos you download esp when the videos are glitched. Half of the videos I get from Kling, Gen3 and Sora are unusable.
SO did you bite the bullet and buy a subscription, or are Runway sponsoring? I mean, it's amazing. Can't deny that. But I've found Runway to be a real money pit. Lots of unusable generations, at least on the prompt/image to video. Seems Act 1 gives more consistent results...
@@PeterStrmberg007 no, they did not sponsor this. To be honest, I got tired of chasing them. 😄I had to try this feature, so I paid for it myself. I did the $35 plan so that I could test it thoroughly.
@@BobDoyleMedia I did the same thing, but burned through my months tokens in the first hour. And I think there was max 20% success rate, making it even more expensive. I hope Google make a full release of Veo2 soon, or Flux releases their video offering. Then I *might* consider Runway for characters speaking, which is after all the "holy grail" even for us amateur film makers. Thanks again for all your hard work testing all this stuff, it saves me days.🙏
Overrated. I'll try it again for sure. Much more of a fan of the video-to-video, though it has other glaring limitations. Meanwhile, if I want really good results, I use Kling with their standard lip-sync. Even compared to Act-1, with Kling there can be a lot of movement, camera movement, etc...
What what exactly is overrated about it? Just about every example. I ran booked fantastic and better than anything else out there. Kling is good, but I think this is better at least right now, though they are releasing a new model today or tomorrow. If Act 1 is overrated, what do you suggest people use?
Thank you for all your videos. You have helped me so much.

Ok, this is truly game changing. I can finally pull the trigger on a project I’ve planning for years. Thanks for all of this Bob Doyle

The eyes at 5:30 look to be influenced by your glasses. I'm guessing the render would be better if you weren't wearing your glasses while training.
Great videos and review as usual. How is their pricing structure going these days? It used to be that you would burn through your credits too quickly.
