    That's part of the reason they're called Jerry Cans. They were superior to allied fuel cans and less likely to leak.

    Well I'll happily admit I was wrong. About a year ago I said my "Honey" would be finished before you finished this. It's been waiting paint for about 9 months. Well done Matt, it was worth the wait to see this finished.

    Those squares on the front corner panels are gun plugs, the U.S M3 Stuart's had two browning 30 cals in those corner panels, so we took them out and plugged the holes.

    Yeahhhh!!!!! Great to see this finally finished after 3 'very hardworking' years on this kit. Good job Model Minutes. I really like how they painted that coat of paint on the top surfaces of the tank. Very cool. You did a very good job on the painting! I wish I had the tools you have to paint my kits! That would be awesome. Also, I think about kits, and especially armor kits with internal detail. In my mind, if I had a kit like this, I would cut out a section of the side of the tank so that you could make a 3D inside diorama that you can see in! That would be cool, but if I knew anything, I would probably finish the kit as fast as you did! 😆😆😆

    • @ModelMinutes
      @ModelMinutes  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks 👍 I think that had i sprayed the blue on I would have needed to do a lot of complicated masking, particularly with all the parts that had been glued on by past me. Hand painting was the quickest way to overcome that

    Nice looking result there Matt. I did not realise that this kit has a pretty decent bit of interior detail. Although, I think I would have painted a lot of it separately. But for your first 1/35 build, I think you did a good job. Even though it took you 3 years lol. I will be sure to catch up on your next 1/35 scale build, sometime in 2026 eh?

    Q for anyone: are the AIRFIX 1/35 vehicles new molds or reboxes from Tamiya or somewhere, and when did AIRFIX start 1/35?
    I haven't built models in a long time but I still like them and when I was building, AIRFIX made vehicles in the annoying 1/32 scale.

    • @ModelMinutes
      @ModelMinutes  7 месяцев назад +2

      Airfix have some academy reboxes in 1/35, but their more recent 1/35 kits are their own tools. They have been doing 1/35 for about the last 5 years or so

    Hi, I’m new to modelling what do you mean by dry brushing?

    • @ModelMinutes
      @ModelMinutes  7 месяцев назад +2

      dry brushing is a process where you put paint on your brush, then wipe it all off again (on a paper towel or something) until the brush feels dry. Then you use the residue on the brush to highlight the raised details on the model. I've been meaning to make a quick tutorial on this technique because I get asked about it quite a lot, so stay tuned for that

    So small note, apparently the Brits never actually called the Stuart "Honey", that's likely some postwar story that got told and people just went with it as if it were fact.

    • @ModelMinutes
      @ModelMinutes  Месяц назад +1

      I wouldn't recommend this to a beginner due to the high part count and the various elements that need to be painted at different stages in the assembly. I'd suggest something smaller or simpler
