    Wow thank you! I never thought of doing this. It's the same principle as energizing a capacitor. I got the yuneec breeze drone when it first came out in 2016. Only about 5-6 charge cycles and the two batteries that it came with failed. At the time batteries for the breeze we're not easily available to replace unless directly from China. Yuneec customer service through email was terrible no help at all. I ordered a set directly from China 2 months went by and never received The batteries. So it sat in my closet since 2023. Did the battery jumper trick here in their back to life.

    Thanks for this video. I've confirmed that it works. However, I should add a WARNING: I chose a fully charged Ryobi 18V battery which was reading 19V. I "charged" the first Breeze battery for about 30 seconds and fried it. Smoky ruin. I had 4 dead batteries. Now I have three working and one that will never work again...so I came out ahead. This might be safer if your 18V battery is half charged or at least limit it to 10 seconds.

      he did say only a few seconds lol not half a min, he even had it on the battery for 4 seconds and said that might of been to long but hes going to keep it on anyways

    Took me a while. Tried a 9v flashlight battery first. Then a 20v dewalt drill one. Had no clips on my 2 wires but just rammed wire into correct poles. But it's up and charging now. Thanks.

    I’m going to try this today, fingers crossed , hopefully it works. My multimeter shows that the cells are still holding a charge. Wish me luck 😊

    Thanks a million. It worked perfect. Even on my 2 year old dead batteries. By the way, my batteries are for the Typhoon H plus. Further down on the comments, thanks on the warning from Brandon DeYoung. I did 30 seconds on one of my batteries and it worked (I got lucky) but from now on I will only do 10 seconds and go on up from there.

    I had three of those batteries and two of them were defected and luckily the only one was still good. Gonna try this out soon. Also I just realized the two are swelling a bit 😅. Not sure if I should still cycle them.

    This method works it really works 100% but you got to be really careful when doing the jumper from the 18 V to your Yuneec battery really careful because it burns

    • @burgean1
      @burgean1  2 года назад

      It only burns if you let it charge too long. 10 Seconds at a time should work.

    I thought I was having battery problems. The blue would come on sometimes. It turned out that I had not pushed the battery in far enough. That was especially true with third party batteries that had a tight fit.
    Now I don't have a problem with either new or batteries that are over 2 years old. I hadn't used the drone in two years.

    Good info, but be careful, you are dealing with a lipo and they can be volatile. Make 100 certain you don't reverse the connection or accidentally short it to another pin.

    Always connect the negative last. Always connect the negative last. Plus them minus , +,then - last always!!

    Worked for me with an 18v battery

  • @indykurt

    I did it for 5 seconds with a 20 volt dewalt and still blue flashing, , put it back on for 20 seconds and it started flashing red, yay. The alligator clips were really hot though I noticed when I removed them from the battery a minute later.

    • @burgean1

      Those cables were a DIY project. All of the materials needed were purchased on amazon. 18 gauge wire and crimp on alligator clips.
