    5:56 For long HDMI runs, say of 10 metres or more, we use fibre HDMI. They are now relatively cheap and in abundance on Amazon. A pair of HDMISDI converters and an SDI cable to achieve a long HDMI run does not make financial or technical sense. For example, a 20 metre HDMI fibre cable capable of 2160p60 will cost around £35 GBP here in the UK. Two 12G HDMISDI converters and a 12G SDI cable will be around £300 GBP. No need to do the maths...

      yep, Fibre great option now. i got all my displayport with it, cause it can handle long runs and the bandwith.

    One thing no one mentions is the fact that it does not support surround (5.1) and you will need an HDMI splitter to fix something that should be included out of the box. I have contacted Avermedia regarding that feature because it was something I was hoping to get when I purchased the device. I don't understand how a device with HDMI 2.1 capability lacks such a basic feature.

      this is a "gamer" centric card. not what your looking for.

      @@tek_soupso "gamers" only use stereo right? I don't know what kind of gamers you mean, but I play using a huge surround sound system and I bet many others do too. It is an HDMI 2.1 interface and passthrough, so there is no excuse for lacking such a basic feature.

      you recording 5.1 to live stream, im not talking about pass through. cause let me know what live stream service provides 5.1... game capture for live streaming. is what it is desighned for.@@johnnywernd2593

    Can you please test this capture card with a Panasonic GH6 and see if you can get 120fps out of it for instant replay?

      That will not work. I garauntee you.

      @@MadJack122 Did I ask you? Both the camera and capture card are HDMI 2.1 and support 120fps. What makes you so sure?

    • @vMixhd
      @vMixhd  7 месяцев назад

      A quick test indicates that 1080p at 120fps is possible, but 4K at 120fps is not possible, because the USB 3.2 gen 2 bandwidth is too low.
