    Yes please do more video explanations on these books!!! Apparently, where I’m from, music teachers don’t really get into all these detailed practice materials, but they only focus on ABRSM exam pieces and only what’s required there

    Joy, you are so helpful in explaining difficult passages, scales, etc. I learn so much from you. Wish I lived in Canada to lessons from you. You have focused and practiced a lot to have perfect pitch with intonation. Thank you for teaching online.

    Such a complex instrument, I have played guitar for thirty plus years , and been in many bands, I took up violin as a challenge to prove to myself I am a musician, I thought it would be hard but it makes guitar seem like a child’s instrument.

      Keep up your wonderful work and keep living the dream! As for scales, I prefer the Heifetz or Elizabeth Gilels scale books. But I completely agree with your recommendation to practice scales in a structured and methodical manner. You’re an excellent teacher and a lovely lady!

    Joy, did you create a video on how to practice beginning and intermediate Scales using Schradieck? If not, could you please create one or is it the same as this Galamian video? I know you created a video of which specific Scales in priority in sequence, starting with #1 - A Major Scale (3 fingers) to # 7 C Major Scale. I just adore your videos.

    Great tutorial! I will do this to warm up next time. My biggest issue is tempos. As I type long, complex password too much on my keyboard, I totally ignore the tempos in music :-)

    • @JoyLeeViolin
      @JoyLeeViolin  6 лет назад

      HI Chee-Wooi, we all have a hard time keeping up with the tempo. But little by little with a help of metronome you will soon see how better you become. Happy practicing! :)
