I use it as a learning experience.... sometimes you learn a lot more from someone's mistakes. Not that i would wish it on anyone ...but its has much value in my eyes.
The first video of the tank crash got recommended to me. That’s the first ever video of yours I’ve seen so it seems RUclips knows ppl like to look at disasters 😂
I have ample experience keeping a tank healthy (or keeping it healthy in spite of me), and though I have experience with disaster fires, its far less. Tank seam giving out, quarantining for myself/others which is often a can of worms, recouping other hobbyists systems, bobbit worm... Missing out on an oppurtunity to expand my toolset to dig through if something should happen seems unwise.
Good job girl! Worth saving. Can’t tell what lights are on there. If you can tune em to all blue. Or mostly blue. That will do wonders. Lights look white. White grows a bunch of algae. IMHO.
I think it’s definitely savable. What I would do is add a lot of clean up crew. The algae will grow faster than 3 snails can manage. Also get some flow going in that tank that will keep the rocks and corals free from detritus.
i dont think people are drawn to the disaster as to feel better i think people want to see this tank get better and how corals will react to correct parameters (at least that how i feel)
I think most peoples point who were telling you to tear it down and start over is that your going to be battling die off for a very long time now. You can change the water as much as you want, it'll bring the salinity back and check. However that tank went so far south there are a ton of dead biological in those rocks that will be feeding problems in the future for a long time. But if you like challenges, I'm here for the ride lol
Tannnk crash … don’t trash … it’s because we want to be there for you.. ✌️ .. salinity correction… carbon dose…. Refresh and waste away… and you good… get that skimmer going and you good 👍 👍👍👍👍👍👍🤝😎
Just realized I’ve been watching your videos for over 1 year now and this is my very 1st comment. I guess tank crashes do increase views and get the peeps commenting Lol btw I just setup my 1st reef tank (120 gallon) and I’m rewatching a ton of your videos for all those good gems of advice. Keep at it!!💯💯
I love the idea of rescuing it rather than throwing it out. I vote rescue
🙌🙌

Makes people feel better about how bad their own tanks are doing lol 😅

Absolutely get the maxx flow so that all the detritus gets out and caught in the mechanical filter and clean mechanical filter every second day .

That sucks… I feel your pain
it looks like you have dinos mixed with a lot of algae and a bit of cyano
so much going on 😭😭
Are you using Rodi or just ro.? If your using just ro. That might be a problem. What’s the tds of the water you are using to make saltwater
rodi

People are too quick to give up and restart because their tank doesn’t look like one from instagram
