They could get you sick with fever or something if they like you or you've done something wrong. You gotta go to albularyo or like Filipino traditional doctors to get healed for it, usually.
Oh, sometimes, they also do some favors for certain people-- in exchange for "food". Not sure what food though.

How they featured the mananangal was a little bit wrong because the other mythical creature that we knew was the one who’s tongue gets long and feeds from a pregnant woman it is because baby to be born whose bones are still flexible and still not tough enough are easily sipped by what we call tiktik. Actually I do have a story like that.So when my mother was young,my grandma was pregnant and was gonna have a baby,then one night my grandma got up to open the windows.Suddenly,a lot of water(saliva) spilled to her.My grandpa opened the lights and we're shocked to see a lot of blood on her tummy,they knew my grandma's baby was dead cause the Tiktik (a name of a mananangal that has longer tongue than average ones) ate my baby aunt/uncle😢

I was told when I was 2 years old I was constanly having fevers at night at the morning its gone. A shaman was called and said that I was being invited by dwendes so she closed my third eye. Mama said that the I am constantly talking about them, the dwende's colors are green, white and red we're playing with me. Good thing i didn't follow the dwendes because if i did I wouldn't be here now😕

My 3 year old cousin in the probinse in the filipine he was followed by a dwende but his mom believed in him so my 3 year old cousin was sick so much that his mom said that it might be true so they got in the motor and got to go to the the doctor for like 3rd eyes people to cure them and my 3 year old cousin was heald me and his brother was scared because wen he wan not cured yet my 3 year old cousin sad brother sister look dwende and so we told his mom because we got scared but we are still scare even tho he was already heald😆.

Tagalog na nga lang HAHAHAHA nung bata pa ako nanuno ako sa puno ng manga sabi ng tita ko 'my tita is mananawas' sabi nya nakatama daw ako ng kapre hindi nawala yung lagnat ko hanggat hindi ako nagpapa sorry at magbigay ng alay sa kapre na natamaan ko then the next day i'm ok wala na yung lagnat ko and nadala rin ako kaya pag pumupunta ako sa tabi ng manga important to say tabe tabe pu bago ka dumaan.

my freind lived somewhere beneath the mountins theres alot of trees there so its basicaly the perfect place for the aswang to hide its lower half
her neighbor was 5-6 months prego'z if i remember it correctly at night they heared banging on there roof her husband flashlighted there window and saw it a bleeding women with a toung changing its face only a lil peeps know this but
continue: the aswang had many abilitis 1 of them is changing there face to trick people it wasent really doing anything in the window it was just looking to see if it can lick the baby in her neighbors tummy after a lil bit the aswang left and told my freinds parents the locked there windows and doors then slept
