      Thank you! I will, they came out of necessity but turned out cute. Love when that happens! I will be tackling the new desk from the cardboard house too, I think, in wood. I love how it turned out, and need one too! :). Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for inspiring so much of it.

    I was looking at Ara's site and her fireplace room box being sold out, went back to the video she explains how to assemble it. Bunch of people got it, but none of their channels I checked had any videos of how they decorated it. I guess I missed out, unless she restocks it. It's got so many possibilities. But I saw your comment and just finished watching this, it wasn't long enough!! Oh my I LOVE this house!! I've been fantasizing for years of a dollhouse with a secret passage way, either a revolving bookcase or fireplace, where through the passage there is a secret laboratory with test tubes and other stuff similar to what you've done here! Love the tarot cards and crystal ball, the black lace everywhere, the rich purples and other great colors. Oh my! An eye feast. So I had to subscribe. I've got a little 4 room dollhouse I need to furnish, but it's just normal I was lucky to find one built and floors done, wallpapers in etc.
    I can't quite sort out how to get a secret room into a house. I think maybe a wooden circle that spins around on a wooden dowel, but it'd need to have a thicker floor and a windowless lab with lights I guess, and a way to access it that doesn't really seem like there could be a room there. I was looking at books in the library children's section on how to make dollhouses when I was a child and have never built one.
    Some examples of secret rooms, Young Frankenstein, Indiana Jones with Sean Connery as his dad, and Panic Room movie of course. We could make a prepper house with a secret pantry with their extra toilet paper and protection and food. Shoot, I want an attic and basement in real life and a panic room for any natural disaster. My dad's house has been sold, but there was an odd built in bookcase that went around a corner, and I can't figure out in my head if there might have been something hidden behind it. I'm sure you've heard of Murphy beds? Well apparently there are also Murphy doors, like opening bookshelves. Anyway, loved your house tour. Also subbed to Nik and BHM and I didn't know Tim Holtz had all that stuff available.

I also did a stair runner from your video and just used toothpicks for the step rods, worked well..I love the coffin shelf!!! what a great idea to use those boxes for that, I'm gonna look into that for book shelves. Great work and ideas, loved the tour, can't wait to see more!

    I found some hook “eyes” I want to use for pulls.
    I love that globe and I was thinking about building my own!
    I was looking through my stash of stuff in a printers tray in my studio and I found some miniatures the right scale for my house and I even had a sewing machine!
    I have been saving images of vintage books off eBay for my books!
    This is great fun!

    I have the same dollhouse I’m renovating into a haunted house!!! Love yours!!! I’ll be doing a series on my channel soon!
    I’m planning on adding a basement with a Dark Academia theme!
    I bought the fence at Hobby Lobby in the Fairy Garden area when it was half price for the same purpose. Then I thrifted some 1/16th square craft sticks the look more like wrought iron.
    I need to do railings and I plan on stringing beads on toothpicks or skewers.
    And … At Halloween you can find the 6” skeletons at Dollar Tree that would work for your posts!
    Your furnishing are gorgeous!
    I done sets and props for plays so I’m excited about shrinking down those skills for my house!!!
    BTW…NEW SUB!!!

      @skeletorama1916  2 года назад

      Right? Those shutters didn't stand a chance....they were just so bad! Don't think I even deluded myself and painted them...lol. The rest of the kit was awesome though (except the front door, agree with you on that too)

    • @rt3593
      @rt3593 2 года назад

      @@skeletorama1916 i had found much better shutters at Hobby Lobby. Correct scale and were milled to look like real shutters. Inexpensive too. I also did not like those flower boxes...left them off.
      I really like that green room with the globe.
      I finished the Painted Lady and am taking a break before dressing. I have the miniaturized Shining carpet from England and FINALLY found the scale Grady Twins to put in the REDRUM room.. i have to keep it child friendly...nieces and nephews, ya know.
      But I am jealous of this artist's originality..I'd love to see her work in person. So original and creative. I have a knack for finding great pieces, but I'm not nearly as talented as these people are in creating their own vignettes.
      I greatly enjoy watching these clips...thanks so much.

    I clicked this video not because I am a dollhouse maker or miniature's creator or anything like that. My eyes were just struck by how strikingly good this dollhouse looks! It's clean yet got that spooky vibe ya know what I mean? The colors pop too! Anyways because I know nothing about this sort of thing. You mention what house this was you built. Is it like a DIY little girls dollhouse kit and you built the whole thing and painted whatever colors you wanted? Or did you take a kids dollhouse and just revamp the whole thing? Just curious. What ever you did though... You did a great job!!!!! Wow! I may have just been sucked into the vortex now of dollhouses and miniature's!!! LOL
    *** Okay I commented above before watching the entire video and OMG!!! I did not realize when I had paused it to say how beautiful the Outside of the house was that when I un-paused it that you were gonna turn the house around and show the completely filled and furnished house on the Inside!!! Seriously you are SO talented!!! What the heck! I am mind blown at ALL the details inside this dollhouse!!!! Is this a hobby you do for fun or is this something you do for a living??? Because Wow!!! I am if you cannot tell so stunned by how crazy good you are! I heard you comment on the outrageous prices of tiny drawer pulls for dollhouses.... I know! That is why I never got into that hobby because if you take one glance at the dollhouse section at any craft store it will shock you at how much they charge for the tiniest little pieces! So that idea that you didn't let that stop you and you just found a way to make it all yourself using your talent and creativity is just amazing to me! Anyways I am impressed if you cannot tell! LOL You are amazingly talented.... The end. =)

    • @skeletorama1916
      @skeletorama1916  3 года назад +1

      Thank you, and yes, it is a kit from Hobby Lobby that I put together myself (the most expensive part for sure!). I just do this for a hobby, and got pulled in myself falling down a miniatures rabbit hole on RUclips too....lol. Had always wanted to do one, but like you, the cost pretty much stopped me....some of the furniture kits cost almost as much as the piece of furniture! (Seriously, what the heck?!?!) I kinda see why, but still. Saw a few videos of those 1:24 and smaller scale room kits you can get on Amazon, so got one. Figured I would either love it and have a new expensive hobby, or it would drive me into a blind rage.....little of both, really. They are a good gateway, especially to using unusual things to make minis. Jumping up to 12th scale made it easier, since it is so much bigger.
      Luckily, I have worked in Photoshop for ages, so was able to make my own decorative stuff and share those as kits on Etsy. Again, those room kits fueled that, since they have lots of little food boxes and such....and some of them are so funny. Pretty sure Sun Chips aren't in a box, but whatever! The rest is just me and my bull in a china shop style of artwork...it is just paper or wood, so why not give it a shot. Lucky for me, it works a good portion of the time, with only a few rejects in the project graveyard...lol! Doing lots of crafts over the years (am super old, so lots of them....haha), you realize that no matter what the first few of a new thing are going to be awful, so when something is awful, it doesn't get in the way of me trying again. That is why I leave my mistakes in my videos too, so ppl can see that even long time makers mess things up. (So much, you have no idea! Me and glue have an interesting relationship.) Besides, lots of cool things I wouldn't have done otherwise have started as mistakes, so they aren't always bad. :)
      And these miniatures are really addictive, once you get going, so beware! :P But if it looks like fun (it is!!) just try doing a piece or two, like a little couch or chair or something, and once you have a bunch of stuff, tackle a room box or house if you want, to put them in. Those houses are big, mine is around 3 feet tall, so just be aware of that too....but a cheap thrift store table will sort out your display area. Hope you give it a go, and thank you for all your kind words.

    • @rt3593

      Michelle...be afraid...be very afraid..its highly addictive. Time consuming....it swallows your soul...im.on my 2nd house. Haunted as well...BUT....its great fun!! Go to hobby lobby and see their kits. Much cheaper than online.

    • @skeletorama1916
      @skeletorama1916  2 года назад

      Took my ruler to it, and they are 9" tall. I tend to make things a bit too large, so I am guessing 1 :10 would be fine in there. This particular kit is at Hobby Lobby, and they usually have them on display put together...not sure if you could bring something in there with you to check the scale, but you could at least get an in person look that way. :)
