I love how birds snitch on their owners baby talk they use with them. It's just so sweet to think a bird is loved so much and told they're a pretty bird so often they managed to mimick it.
We had 3 of these birds Mynahs. One can talk so well in different voices. It can call our German Shepherd and my dog will break his chains and run after strangers entering our grounds. The bird can also ask the maid for food and can also sing.

I was "today years old" when I realized birds other than the parrot can actually talk lol.
We had a full black Minah and we called her Rani( Queen) and she would imitate a lot of sounds and mimic my father gargling in the morning. "Billie aaii" would be her alarm system to alert us when the neighbors cat came to sit on her enclosure...meaning"the cat is here "
A bird flew into my house, and the cat started talking to him making bird noises. Never heard that before.
Crows, ravens, lyrebirds, mockingbirds, and others, mimicking is widespread throughout the bird world.

@@jenniferw5095 🙂. This bird can mimic human voice and language. Does not do very well in captivity. If it is to kept in a small cage.. the cage material will have to be made of bamboo peel otherwise it will not survive. Big enclosure is more preferable. I first saw this bird when i was three years old. My neighbour used to keep one. I used to stand in front of the cage and speak to the bird and it used to mimic all my words exactly as it is. The Assamese MYNAH which is found in india is one of the greatest mimic among all.

Used to live in a house where our neighbor owned a Mynah who would scream obscenities at everyone from morning till night, then howl like a maniacal dog. One day another neighbor got so fed up with the noise he went out and told Mynah to shut it. Silence. Mins later I hear Mynah scream: I'm sorry I'm sorry Im sorry I love you! Then proceeded to laugh diabolically in this strong deep voice that made my arm hairs stand. He also raps. And pretends he's a car engine. I love them!
My grandfather had a parrot who would say obscenities all day. Grandma gave him an ultimatum to make it stop, which he didn't take seriously. One evening, after the chicken soup, grama announced that the chicken soup wasn't... chicken. Real story.
That story took a really dark turn 👀

Very few things surprise and amaze me anymore. This was so fantastically cool!! I had no idea birds like this could speak. I wish dogs could talk. That would be so cool too.
Back in the day I was a professional cellist. One day after I stopped practising I could hear and see a Mynah bird jumping up and down on the top of the fence out my window and singing a really complex tune. It sounded vaguely familiar and I realised that he was trying to sing the Elgar Cello concerto, which he had just heard me practising.
That is so freaking cool! That would probably be the highlight of my life. Lol

My teacher said that some days she could play incredibly and other days she could barely hold a coffee cup. Apparently she just sat in her flat listening to her old recordings all day. So sad.
