@@harveyspecter1653first I was laughing at you assuming I was a kid while in an old man with aches and pains all over the place… but then I saw your username and you’ve got some years on me. 😂. Touché. I’ll buy it. I can absolutely afford to buy the plugin and still eat. Have you been enjoying it so far?
I have the impression the plugin manufacturers finally understood they should not just copy left and right channel paths but also include these little deviations in transistor values wihch make it sound wide and spacious. Absolutely love the current digital world! These are the best sounding synths out there man. Insane! That pad you play at 5.57! Insane bro! what a sound!
I got this recently, use to play an OBXa in a nightclub gig doing KROQ covers in the 80’s, yeah it’s very close .. but definitely lacks the polish .. the wideness I like to say .. of the original Oberheim hardware, but if you never played real ones back in the day your probably golden 👌
What would be interesting is using Omnisphere , to try and imitate the Oberheim sound and some of its presets. Omisphere is acutely a bargain at 500 $ considering all the filters and oscillators wave forms you get . Probably wouldn’t buy it since it came with the Arturia pack and was also included in the Native Instruments Komplete 7 latest update. Good video playing around with these vst Oberheim sounds , and definitely be a good vst for preset players.
Never thought I could get my hands on the authentic oberheim sound for this price. Especially endorsed by Tom himself. We live in an amazing time. I'd scoop the OB-E but it's UI is pretty intimidating & at this price, this is so ridiculously accessible. Great extensive demo. Thanks for the deep dive. Do check out the M-Tron IV btw. Phenomenal Mellotron emulation.
@@VultureCulture ah - ok - I didn’t realize this limitation from your video. I already own OB-E and OB-X, so I’m good without this. GForce is obviously trying to lure new customers in with this hobbled version so they’ll eventually want to eliminate the hobbled aspect of this and buy the pricier versions. Business must be slow for them to do this. I haven’t yet seen an Omnisphere EZ….yet. Let’s hope we won’t.
CORRECTION: THERE IS A DISCOUNT ON OB-E FOR PEOPLE WHO BUY OB-EZ FIRST!!
Definitely has the character. You did it justice and a half.
I need to resist the temptation to buy this immediately. Sounds great.
Such a incredible sound!
Just buy it. Your kids can do without food for just 1 day! 😀

Have this one and the OB-X. Works great with my MIDI controllers stand alone and through Logic

I definitely should do some sort of Omnisphere versus [insert here] stream!

I will be in the near future!
I only liked one Cherry Audio synth and that was Mercury-6.
Some of these companies should get 49keys with some knobs, make it look great, and sell at a reasonable price.
Offset controls like a Virus or Lead but is basically a clone of the SEM interface
Title incorrect, it’s £49
It's gone up in price since the livestream.
@@VultureCultureyeah noticed :(
Can’t change the waveforms on patches? Really?
Yeah it's all under the hood. Kind of like a tweakable preset browser. If you want the full experience there's OB-E
@@VultureCulture thank you - where do you find the “under the hood” button on this thing?
@jptaylor there isn't one, if you want under the hood functions you have to buy the full version OB-E: www.gforcesoftware.com/products/ob-e/

I also think Gforce is too heavy on FX.
Hoping for that "vintage" knob on the reverb lol
