Having done music production and closely followed the progression of VST emulations for above a decade now I have to say I 100% could not agree more with this statement. OB-E, Diva, Repro 1/5 and the Model 72 are by far the best soft synths I have ever had the pleasure of using and In my opinion musical and functional enough to never need another.
I just got this and honestly I haven't used another synth since. The sound is just incredible and once you get to know how it works it's quite versatile. Amazing for a software emulation. I could make a whole album using only this thing.
Great review! I love the Oberheim Sound, I have an OB6 (a mixture of the newer Prophets with Oberheim Filters), fantastic sound, but I will sold mine. I am not a professional keyboard player. I think I will check out this one! On the OB6 the best thing is the filter section by Tom Oberheim. He is a genius, they are really special! It got that dreamy, nostalgic 80's vibe, and also some raw character, but everything in very smooth way. I also noticed some similarities in the modulations...from what I can hear from RUclips, it really seems to capture some Oberheim magic! Thanks Mark for your great channel, also I love some of your albums on the Moonjune label!
Thanks for this, Mark!
For sure the best emulation so far, rich textures and amazing resonance, sounding so real. Great demo and really nice vibe too
GForce, U-He & Softube are the companies making the best analog emulations

I definitely heard some Lyle Mays sounds and harmony there. Nice one!
Yes Lyle is definitely a musical influence, I love his vision of harmony.
