for me the big driving schools were a bit disappointment. They charged 72 € per hour and each lesson was 2 hours. I used to be already exhausted after one hour driving. One instructor was apathic (later I get to know that he had a cancer), the other one very knowledgeable but patronizing. After spending 5000€ and two exams I choose a local one for 60€ per hour and lesson of one hour. The instructor was not that great, but he was not condescending. He gave me feeling of safety and independence. After spending 2000€ and two more attempts, I got my license.
Congratulations!!! I tried, around 40 years ago but ... after 35 lessons my instructor told me, it was better to stop whahahaha. I have a severe "berm angst" so, he had to pull my steering wheel all the time because I always wanted to drive in the middle of the road .. No driver license for me. :)
Congratulations! I'm taking driving lessons again after 8 years. My past driving instructor told me I was ready for the driving exam but I had to do the theory exam first... I failed. I was so frustrated that I didn't bother to do it again (big mistake). 8 years later I decided to take it up again and I already passed my theory exam. Finding the right instructor is definitely important. I knew my new instructor was the right one when I noticed I fell into my old habit of taking right turns too broadly, I mentioned this to him and he was like "alright, let's practice that" and we drove in circles for about 15 minutes, right turn after right turn, after right turn. That's the moment I knew I found another great driving instructor :).
I'm watching this video at the beginning of my journey, which is a little bit scary, to be honest. But I hope everything goes well. Thank you for sharing though :)
Which city are you learning how to drive in? :) Thank you for watching, maybe check out the interview with the driving instructor. It offers a lot of useful tips and tricks.
@@theselfishcodependent Hey Tania, I've just delved into the theory part this week, so I haven't started the practical lessons yet. By the way, I watched Mark's interview and really enjoyed it. I even subscribed to the channel - keep up the great work! Oh, and by the way, I live in Amsterdam. Just curious, why do you ask? :)
I wish there was some better guidance in this video on the theory exam, as this video is more heavy on the practical exam. I’ve failed the theory 7-8 times, after paying for multiple platforms and doing several full-day courses :(
Thank you for watching the video! What questions do you sitll have about the theory? You can post them here and either I or other people watching it will respond.
My instructor told me always drive 2km above max limit, so drive 52 on 50 , 32 on 30. Is it allowed? Also is okay if I do miss a road on the right hand side once or twice?
Yes, your instructor is right. It's better to drive 2km faster than slower due to the traffic flow. For the second question, I think it's totally fine as long as you don't panic and know how to solve it. Good luck on your exam! :)
Also all vehicle speedometers are designed to read slightly higher (1-3% I believe) so if your car says you’re going 100kph you’re probably only going 97/98kph.
Thank you for watching! 🙌 What's something you wish you knew sooner?
Didn’t know that it takes foreeeeeeever to get an exam spot😧
@@maso3277 oh yes, I also didn't know that. What surprised me as well is that you can book a practical exam only once you have passed your theory.
Whats the link to the website for your theory
@@randsdorp hey! Thank you for watching! The link is in the video description;)

Do you have the option to pass the exam in English or Duch?

Поздравляю, сам сдал с 1 попытки как теорию так и экзамен. Лучше учиться в хорошей школе но важно чтоб преподавать не был zzp
Спасибо:) и тебя поздравляю! Недавно сдал?)

4.5k for a pink card.
Luckily, I only have to do it once in life. :D
