You guys have inspired me to open a small business with my 11 and 14 year old to show them how to start, make mistakes, adapt, and learn to run a business. Your channel is so "real". Thank you. QUESTION: after cutting the boards to length, you immediately go to the planer before making one face flat. How do you manage cups and bowes in your raw lumber???
After watching you guys the last year or so , you inspired me to make some boards of my own, I'm not overly skilled (but am getting better) I made 7 cutting boards.....and sold all 7 today.....with more orders coming in!!! Thank you so much for everything you have taught all of us!!!
Even with a 1250 CFM dust collector running, I've started wearing a dust respirator mask anytime I'm doing a significant power tool job in my garage - table saw, miter saw, etc. For the large volume job you did here you certainly put a lot of fine dust in the air. You have long and productive lives ahead of you pursuing your dream. Take care of your lungs.
I have been watching your videos for a little over a month, I think. I try to watch one or two a day. I love the information and y’all’s positive attitudes. They have really helped me out and I really appreciate it. I hope y’all have a great day.
Jennie and Davis another great video! Glad that you guys are pumping out so many sales! And how cool of Drew to gift you the custom push stick! Keep doing great things!!

So funny that you received a push stick from Drew. Just the other day I was binging Drews site and saw the video he was giving push sticks out at Workbench Con in 2019. In the clip he was giving one to Bruce A. Ulrich you two were right there, and now you got one of your own... Thanks for all the great videos and inspiration.

This might have been in a previous video but is there a reason you both leave the little cardboard slot cut out in the box. Jumped out at me the first time I saw it and then realized you both do it.
What species of wood are you using for your cutting boards? My son wants to start making some here in Alaska and I will have to order wood to enable him to do so. We do not have hard wood in AK sadly.
Good luck on the final steps of getting the new workshop-space. Hopefully soon Jennie can re-do the intro voiceover from "maybe one day it will span beyond the garage" in a skeptical voice to something like "it has finally spanned beyond the garage" in a jubilant voice. :-D
In observing your production of boards. It appeared to me that maybe when running a high volume of boards when cutting to length cut them double length do all your gluing, planing, edge squaring and whatever else you may do than cut it to size. This will save time on long runs and possibly short runs.

I told him he wasn't charging enough. Long story short, he kept raising his prices until he got down to the 30 hours per week. The sweet part of the deal was that with the higher fees, he was making about the same working 30 hours per week as he did working 55 hours per week.
