1982 Mitsubishi Traction Elevators at Jianguo Hotel in Beijing, China

Filmed on May 21, 2018: In case you guys did not know, I went to this hotel 10 years ago for a wedding that one of my relatives' family friends had, and I rode these elevators. Now I came back here again to get a better take on these since I have a high-quality camera. And all I have to say is A BIG THANKS to the concierge member for letting me have this room key to ride up and down!!!!! :D You can see that they partly renovated this hotel since my first take on these, but the elevators have stayed intact (which I hope they do NOT even THINK about modernizing them)! With that said, enjoy the video! :D Installed in 1982.

You sure this was installed in 1982? This elevator is a late 1980s-early 1990s model.

Better not "murdernize",why USA elevators do not keep something old intact?Cost any regular maintence instead of replacing everything?

Same like in Singapore. They don't care about old elevators nowadays so they just replace them with boring modern ones.

IDLift3000 If you see in example,in my country the mods are from the same company,I seen Thyssenkrupp which uses TK300 indicator and voice(from Art Collection,oldest one) and uses Expert(modern one),why do not use old+old?This is what goes down a history,unless a newer cab is visually "hauntless" and "scareless" if used nowadays
