Mahina lang talaga ang Dept Of Tourism natin. Masyadong concentrated sila sa beaches. Kung ibang bansa yan pinakalat na ang Balayong sa lahat ng lugar sa Pinas lalo na sa Metro Manila at Cebu para maging tourist attractions. Pero waley nasasayang ang panahon. Imagine kung ang Balayong nasa Luneta at Roxas Boulevard eh di ang daming turista na bibisita lalo.
Mahina din DPWH and DENR. Imagine developers lang naman gumagawa nito para sa mga pinoy. Pag walang developers sa pinas like Ayala, Megaworld, etc. - Wala din tayong ganyan. We need better masterplanners in DPWH.
Sinisi na naman sa Department of tourism. Kung ikaw na mamayan ng Pilipinas eh nagtanim ka ng mga puno noon di namumulaklak na ngayo tulad yan. Puno na yan. Tumulong na lang sa pagpapaganda ng bansa kaysa sa point mo kung sino ang mahina at malakas,kung sino ang maganda at pangit. Nasa modern Technology na tayo. Tama na ang sisihan,Tulungan na lang Puede?

Not just in Track 30th but all across BGC. There's a whole row of them in full bloom now at 7th avenue near The Courtyard. Mitsukoshi Mall is also lined up with Balayong Trees albeit still young. Other flowering trees that are worth noting in Track 30th that are in bloom as well are the Acacia, Narra, and the Pink and White Tabebuia tress. :)

I prefer fire trees (which is marami din sa BGC), pero sana nga mas maraming ganito. Mas malamig lang talaga sa mata ang pink. Imagine an entire street filled with balayong, narra and fire trees in full bloom - and not just in BGC!
Choose trees that are native to Taguig. In that way your are contributing to maintaining biodiversity as well as really identify yourselves as "filipinos". Dont be a Japan or Korea 2.0.
Hope more of these Balayong trees or Phil Cherry blossoms are planted in the streets of BGC and especially in the Parks where these beautiful trees will be fully appreciated... .

There's this Red tree that looks so good at the South National Roads of Southern part of Cebu, they call it Fire Tree. Been suggesting it to friends working at Local Govs. If you know this tree, you may suggest it to your Local Gov as well. Fire Trees are beautiful.
I love BGC ! I was on vacation last December and got to explore BGC again, I did not notice those trees, do they bloom on certain times? Cherry Blossom usually blooms in Springtime here in Toronto so its coming soon.
All tourist destinations in metro manila like Luneta Park,Intramuros, Manila Zoo, Pasig River Esplanade, CCP, MOA must have this Balayong trees to attract more local and foreign tourists in the future

Cherry blossoms were attracting people along phil jap hwy in davao but all gone due to road widening. One tree is near tagum doc hospital at gonzales compound. I have one surviving tree which seed i got from our lady of simala road is in our farm.

Those are not real cherry trees. Those are Cassia nodosa trees belonging to the bean family. The real sakura trees are temperate region plants that need a winter period for the buds to form in spring and the flower structures and fruits are very different.
That is wrong to say. "Metro Manila" and "Manila" may sound similar but they are definitely not the same. In fact, "Metro Manila" is already obsolete. It was renamed to NCR since way back 1978 precisely because of those people who just fail to understand the difference between a region and a mere city. BGC is not in Manila. It's in Taguig.
We also have fire tree in palawan its planted along sta. Monica PPC they're nice when it blooms orange flower will replace all the leaves...when flowers are gone its all over green and shadows are nice...aside from this palawan cherry....
