I'm glad she mentioned the genetic component. I've noticed a lot of people making videos completely dismiss that aspect of things. For a long time I thought I was doing something wrong. I tried every remedy I could. I finally saw a dermatologist and realized there was a medical reason for my thinning hair and edges.
Ladies, if you've tried everything and know you're doing the right thing, don't get brainwashed into thinking you don't know what you're doing. There may be a medical reason. See a doctor. React accordingly.

12/31/21 - Tonight is day 1 of me doing this edge growth mix! I added in a bit of Mielle’s peppermint + rosemary scalp oil too. This is the first day of my natural hair journey. I’ll update this comment in a few months 🥴
02/16/2022 my edges are growing back in fuller! It’s definitely not an overnight process & I’m so happy I wasn’t expecting that but I’ve been noticing progress. I finally feel more confident wearing my natural hair out for the first time in years. I added the edge growth mix into my Shea hair butter and massage this in once a week. Whenever I spray my hair with water I make sure to massage that moisture into my hair too bc I have low porosity hair. My hair is def growing slowly but surely

This video is such a blessing! Testimony time...I came across this video in 2020 when it first came out because quarantine and I wanted to work on my hair while I had more time on my hands, but I was not at all consistent and fell off the process. Fast forward to just about 3 weeks ago I just took a weave I had down and I lost so much of my edges because of the glue and the way it was installed. Y'all, I legit cried. And God reminded me of this video because I was praying about my hair one day and this video came back to memory so I found it again and decided to not only try this mix but became *consistent* (like using this everyday, some days twice a day in the morning and evening). No lie it's been 3 weeks so far and I'm seeing my edges come back. Not only are they growing back but they're filling in all the way in the front where they originally used to be before I was losing them to weaves and tight hairstyles. I haven't seen that part of my edges since my teenage years. Like I'm getting my full edges back and I'm so excited. I've got a bit of a way to go but I'm seeing the progress and I'm continuing to be consistent with this in addition to making changes to how I style and handle my hair as well and drinking plenty of water. I'm looking forward to what it'll look like a month from now. I know this is long but glory to God and thank you Mercy for this video!!!!! You are the best God bless you! ❤

Mercy, thank you! Just found you and loving your videos. I'm a white woman, formerly a hairdresser, and I've already learned several new things. Love that! I used to design hair and makeup on Broadway shows and operas and the best part for me was learning new stuff. I can tell you a LOT about lace-front wigs, lol. I spent a good deal of time, in those days, in black salons in Brooklyn. I wanted to learn about all types of black hair and how to work with it and those women were so generous to let me hang out, watch, ask questions, and generally pester them. I'll check in from time to time and let you know what some of your products and techniques do on this white woman hair. Yep, I'm one of those people who tries everything on herself, too.

I went bald in 2018 and my hair grew quite a bit since then and I just wanna grow it longer using natural products. I've also shared about your channel on my Facebook Group encouraging more ladies to have a look at it. Thanks for sharing all these with us Mercy 🤗.

My hair is thinning on the right side of the heads because of the constant pull back in one. Today is the first day I'm starting the rice water treatment. Wish me luck. Fingers crossed 🍀. Hi. Mercy. My hair texture is fine and wavy. At 62, it has thinned from weaves and now wigs. No matter what I do, I guess I fit in the “chronic hair loss” category (heartbreaking). I think of my mom (RIP)who had fine, wavy hair and my older sisters are even balding. Thanks for the reality check. I do take your advise in product use and I won’t give up.
