The walls are surprisingly labor intensive compared to traditional stud wall construction but we are close to done. I am sure you experience the feeling of a win with every project you work through. Good luck to your build and thanks for watching!
I have been enjoying your videos for a couple of years now. I especially enjoy your engineering skills, such as your homemade lumber cutting bandsaw, and the automatic bandsaw blade sharpener. I wish you would explain why your are building your home with 18 sides. It seems to me that it is a lot more expensive and 10x the labor to build it that way rather than the traditional rectangle. I'm sure you'll have a great reason for that design.
Thank you for your support! Some of what I do is to test my acquired skills and pass on the concept that anyone is capable of making their own things. The 18 side house was inspired many years ago from a modern interpretation of a Native American earth lodge. I’ll put a link below with better info. Material requirement is similar to a standard rectangular construction. The walls and roof profile present less to wind. This style building has great survival in hurricane areas. More over we will enjoy multi angle views where we have great luck to live. We should have a video explaining most of this in the near future. Thanks for watching! visitnebraska.com/south-sioux-city/blackbird-scenic-overlook
These turkeys are safe from us. They are all wild. There is hundreds of them in this immediate area. But a number will be prey to other animals this winter. Cycle of life. Thanks for watching!

Poor Turkeys. They have no idea what you have in store for one of them later this month. 😅
