I heard from a creepypasta that Arnold's parents were actually his grandparents and the creator of Hey Arnold actually met a nine year old kid and the ghetto side of Brooklyn New York Before he created hey Arnold . and it did say that the boy was telling the Creator his whole story and how he didn't really have any friends so in the show all the friends that you see there were actually in the real boys imagination he didn't have many friends because of this football headed shaped head
I'm still pissed that Hey Arnold didn't get a sequel! I really wanted to see him find his parents. I mean it didn't have to be in theaters or straight to video. They could have made it a tv movie or something.
And now we're getting it in a month, I'm super psyched!

I have two Cartoon Conspiracies that would be great to see addressed by this cute Sweetie.
1: 'CatDog'. A cat and a dog that seem to have been fused together in one Genetic mutation, the result of a failed experiment, evolution, mutation or radiation.
2: 'Chicken Cow'. How did Mama actually gave birth to a full sized Cow and a Chicken? Why is Dad let alone ANYONE not alarmed by this extreme anomaly?

Kasandra Bahena It all depends on what a cartoon depicts if anything, I've never seen a cartoon that relates something as sensitive as 9/11. There MAY be something but these are JUST theories. some more plausible than others pretty much they're coincidences.

This is a good theory but stewie could not be Arnold due to "Hey Arnold" was later in the past the "Family Guy" you can tell by the clothing and technology. So even though it a good theory it's wrong.
I will forever be upset that the second Hey Arnold! movie was never made.
There's actually a possibility it could get made, nick has shown a new interest in the jungle movie.

I've been enjoying these videos, however, I do wish they were a bit longer.
Even the theories that are completely bogus, are interesting and it would be cool to dive more into the theories before disproving/proving them with interview/show/creator facts.

That makes no sense. If you are talking about the way their heads are shaped then I have to stop you. In one episode f Family Guy, it shows how Stewie's head turned football. He was jumping on Lois's and Peter's bed and when Brian told him to stop, he didn't and he jumped so high that he hit his head on the ceiling and that is how his head turned football.
I was not even around in the 90's but this is still one of my favorite shows. It sucks I was not around when shows like this were airing :/

Yeah but on Wikipedia (this maybe false idk) it says that the creator in a interview says that one day he met a boy who his parents had too late resulting in the condition that his head was too big, he also had imaginary friends because no one wanted to be his friend. And then the creator thought this was interesting and wanted to create a show about it. So maybe the conspiracy is right? And that Arnold's friends are all imaginary too? It might not be real, but I think there's a big chance it could.

Another thing wrong with this theory is that people with Hydrocephalus are usually given what is called a shunt (a tube that goes from the head into the stomach) at a very early age (like a day or so after being born if not immediately after being born) due to the fact that the condition causes excess buildup of cranial fluid which would give Arnold serious migraines if not flat out kill him. Source: I have Hydrocephalus and on the rare occasion my shunt clogs up it feels like my head is going to explode.
crazy enough as it is in 2017 they're going to put the Hey Arnold 2 movie out so we find out where he find his parents because after the end of parents day he read the letter and he finds a missing map where there plane crashed so he goes to South America to find his parents that's what the Creator promised us in the year 2017
We do get a glimpse of Arnold's parents on 1 episode. It's in a flash-back by his grandpa.
fun fact Miles was voiced by Craig Bartlett the shows creator and the football shaped came from his maternal grandfather Arnold who had a football shaped head and Hey Arnold shorts where also shown on Sesame Street in the early 80's
If they ever decide to make that movie, a LOT of, in fact ALL of us would be SO happy. In fact I just asked my brother 5 minutes ago about and he said he would want it to happen.
In the episodes The Journal Part One and Two they find his father's journal and tell the entire story of how his parents fell in love and had him and Grandpa explains how they died. It won awards. Almost that entire episode is done in flashback with his parents in it.

They literally made a movie that shows his parents
Arnold does have an in-universe acknowledged large head though. Because Helga is always calling him 'Football Head'. So its not JUST cartoon styling.
Well there was an episode where Arnold finds an old journal that his parents wrote entries in. His grandpa tells him the story about his parents helping people in different countries. However, they were called on a mission and couldn't take Arnold so they left him with his grandparents hoping to return. They never came back for him. At the end of that episode he finds a map at the very end of the journal. So it was kind of a cliffhanger that he could have possibly been able to find his parents from the map or perhaps his parents died in a plane crash or from a disease they were trying to cure.
The football head reminds me of Stewie Griffin from Family Guy.

I remember Shane Dawson covering this theory and it was actually very believable. He said the creator met someone with the defect as a child who made fake friends, so Arnold's friends could possibly all be imaginary. I'd give this theory a 4/5

I heard somewhere that someone that worked on the show said that he went on a trip to New York and saw a kid with that and he made up his friends in his heads that have different shaped heads. Maybe Arnold doesn't have it but the character could be based off the boy he met.

I'm re-watching these old eps, and I seriously miss Emily! She was cartoon conspiracy.
What I know is they were making a movie of him going to where his parents are at but the producers couldn't decide on either he stays with his parents or go back with his grandparents. Because they couldn't decide they decided to just make another movie. The producer was going to complete the jungle movie but then couldn't because he was fired and his show was canceled cuz Arnold was an actual kid so that's where the producer got his idea of this show.
I watched every episode with my sister not too long ago and I think there is an episode where they show Arnold's parent's giving him to his grandparents so they can go on an expedition or something. Can't remember though. I think they were archeologists or something.
I'm still sad that Arnold never met his parents.

As someone who has hydrocephalus, I can say that my head is normal shaped. I'm not sure about other people who have it though. I head did expand at one point when I was a baby, but that was because my skull wasn't fully hardened yet.
And how many years later, the sequel movie is now back on the cards as a reboot. That is going to be interesting....

People have mistaken my parents for my grandparents since I was adopted.
I have a idea for the next Cartoon Conspiracy. What if Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes was schizophrenic?
The theory:
You know how everyone sees Calvin just playing with his stuffed tiger, right? He sees him as a actual tiger. This also explains Calvin's behavior, but not his surprisingly large vocabulary. The reason for that may be because his parents must have needed to educate him by themselves, but sent him to a public school shortly after. Intrigued by this knowledge, Calvin may have looked at the dictionary a lot, driven by his curiosity. When Calvin is only 6, he fully thinks the stuffed tiger he must have gotten as a toddler is a real tiger that will eat other humans. And the “Spaceman Spiff” fantasies only point more towards this theory. Calvin may be smart, but his schizophrenia has reduced his mental stability to nothing.
I'm not worried about where his parents are (cartoons character tend to not need a parental figure since the show isn't about them). I was however always curious why his head is shaped like that while everyone else looks relatively normal. I guess it was just a stylistic choice?

Could all the people in the show the magic school bus actually be on drugs? Maybe that's why they all see the bus transform and go on field trips all over the solar system. But phoebe is the only one who isn't that seriouse into drugs. That's why she remembers a lot of things from her old school.
This theory could have been good if written better and actually made some sense. First off, any big Hey Arnold fan would know that Miles and Stella are Arnold's parents, NOT grandpa Phil and grandma Gertrude. Its just so obvious it hurts my head! Everyone looked weird because its the style of the show. There's no way Arnold imagined everyone.

This is true because the people who made the show had interviewed a kid who had a football head, and this was because his parents were too old to have kids which had that outcome and his friends are fake the real boy had imaginary friends who he played with and u may know y he didn't have real ones, know life changing

I have another theory that Arnold and Gerald are cousins. If you look at Arnold's dad, he's clearly Grandpa Phil's son. He he's got the chin cleft and blond hair, which came from Arnold's grandma. She's blonde in flashbacks. Arnold's mom has a football shaped head. Look at Gerald's mom, her head is shaped like Arnold's mom's. We know nothing of his maternal grandparents, but we meet his cousin Arnie who looks like him. Grandpa can't stand Arnie and has even mentioned Arnold's his only grandson. Arnold's maternal grandpa probably slept around and she was one of his children. Her skin is also lighter than Gerald's, meaning she's mixed. We never had an origin story on how Arnold met Gerald, but notice Grandpa Phil treats Gerald like family. He lets him live in the boarding house in one episode, and when Arnold and Gerald have a fight, Grandpa tries to get them to reconcile. He knows the secret and actually treats Gerald with respect, while he's rude to Arnold's other friends like Sid and Helga.
