This is so amazing. I go to counseling at Bonnie Brae and Beverly and live with a view of the City Hall right between the Azusa St. and 8th and Towne St. locations! And I have been saved these passed several months and HEALED from a terminal illness. I will never forget these days and exciting times. Bring on the revival! Hallelujah!

To all my Baptist, Assembly of God, Church of God, COGIC, Pentecostal, AME, Methodist, Nazarene, the list goes on. We all were baptized in the Spirit in a revival under one roof in LA California that spread like wildfire to the churches we love today. I heard this in my church history but did not hear of this first-hand account until now.

This is so AMAZING. i LIVE IN LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA, and i actually visited the house that is on bonnie brae street where the pastor lived with his wife, and i have been on Azusa street, which is now Little Tokyo now The Japanese bought up that whole area. However , Little Tokyo placed an Plate with the name of the church in front of their theater, and if you stand near the plate YOU ACTUALLY CAN FEEL THE HOLY SPIRIT STILL THERE, YOU CAN FEEL THE ELECTRICTY the POWER OF GOD STILL THERE ON THAT GROUND where the church use to stand, ANOINTED GROUNDS. TRUST ME, THE POWER OF GOD IS STILL THERE. PEOPLE GO THEIR ALL THE TIME, YOU CAN FEEL THE POWER FROM 1906.

My Grandma received the spirit during an Azuda GB in Glasgow around the end of WWI (1918) Those that were there established Pentecostal Churches that still exist today. I never knew what she meant when she spoke of Azusa until now.
I received the Holy Spirit on Aug. 25, 1995 at 10:15 PM....it's Power and Love beyond human understanding. Pray and you can have it also.....its truly for all who seek it..

It felt like chewing on dry straw- I told God that. If you want me to pray, You’re going to have to pray through me. Immediately, I spoke in new tongues that was 7:30 am I never stopped (concerned wouldn’t be able to restart), my tongue went pins & needles- HOLY SPIRIT directed me to turn to this scripture & that. I knew what I was saying was what I was reading.
Basically, in great love & gentleness, He was telling me to stop complaining. It was the most exciting day ever!!! I couldn’t wait to tell my husband when he got home from work. He had his own agenda. So, I waited until bedtime. He turned over. But I was so excited, I asked Holy Spirit please could YOU please repeat that please (alll from 7:30 am til 11:30 am ! I went sat on edge of bath tub & Holy Spirit went through EXACTLY WHAT HE HAD SAID IN THE MORNING!!! POWERFUL!!!!
Blessed. So grateful. Never looked back.

This is a treasure! People who are falling away from the church need to watch this! That is very interesting...we had church until the holy ghost fell and without time limits, the Lord can do what HE wants to do once we come prepared to eat from HIS table!! Now we are serving Jesus's food while people are eating and drinking with expectancy but trays and burners are shut down as if to say, there is a certain amount we can have AT CHURCH. We should have a brownsville revival experience every Sunday ALL DAY so God can have HIS bountiful proportion given to whom ever want to eat!! HALLELUJAH AND ALLELUIA!! TO GOD!! Amen.

The contradiction you see shows you need more understanding on this matter of " tongues ( speaking in languages).
The scripture will show us the WAY.
Acts 2. clearly shows us what came to pass on the day of Penticost.
Acts 2: 8 says : We HEAR them speaking in Our own languages.
verses 9, 10 and 11 name these 17 different languages.
Verse 8 tells us that the people HEARD them speaking in their own languages.
It does not say The apostles spoke in their languages.
Simon and the other spoke in Galilean.
The HOLY SPIRIT translated Galilean into all the other languages .
Simon did not speak in any language he did not already know.
Simon probably spoke: Galilean, Greek and Aramiac.
NO human being has or ever will speak in a language they have not learned.
The day of Penticost was all about what the Promiced Holy Spirit would do.
The coming of the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders.
The Holy Spirit tanslated all the different languages so the people could understand .
1 Cor. 14: 2. This scripture MUST be with one accord with Acts 2.
1 Cor. 14: 2 says they spoke in a language directly to Yahweh.
A language not known by anyone who speak it.
This language must be known to mankind and it is.
The ONLY language on this earth spoken directly to Yahweh was the creation language spoken by Adam and Eve and up to the the flood.
When Noah and His wife died the creation language died with them.
ALL the langauges were changed at the tower of Babal.
1 Cor. 14: 3- 11. Tells us about languages known to others who heard them speaking.
These were the ones who translated to the other.
No more than 3.
1 Cor. 14: 15. This is the conclusion to the matter.
WE will speak and pray with our OWN understanding.
What the christians are doing in church today is inspired untterences by unclean spirits.
When I speak in English people HEAR me in their own languages

The HOLY Spirit is speaking to the people.

You don't have to "wish" it. YOU CAN experience it for yourself if you repent, believe God's Word and seek Him above all else! There are Christians in oppressed countries who are led by the Spirit every day to be able to live and meet for fellowship with other Christians. They meet in a different place all the time to avoid being caught. They don't know where to go except by being led by the Spirit right then. They pray and worship God for hours on end! You, too, can follow the Lord that same way in your everyday life if you will seek Him totally! Psalm 63. May the Lord consume you with His fire!

I can feel the anointing as they testify
The revival may have spread throughout the world from Asuza but it actually started in Topeka, Kansas. I was a student minister's wife of the Christian church in Westmoreland, Kansas in the early 70's. There were two widowed sisters -residents of Westmoreland, Kansas, Rose Knipp and Edna Bottom. They were children during a week long revival which was ministered to by a student from the Bible college in Topeka. At the end of the revival the very last unsaved person in the entire small town got saved and baptized in the creek. Then miracles started happening all around them. Angels started singing hosanna and glory in notes unattainable by humans and held so much longer than any human ever could. I was surprised to hear this. I started scoffing but then caught myself. I asked if they were sure someone wasn't playing tricks with a microphone from a small hillside. They said that was virtually impossible because there was no electricity at all. The town didn't even have a phone at the time.They used kerosene lanterns most places. The sisters never told anyone because the younger generations scoffed at their elders and treated them as though they were insane when they heard what happened as though it was only a fairy story. But they told me because I had prayed for a woman who was very brain damaged and actively dying with no hope of recovery and she recovered better than she was before she was dying. I used James the 5th chapter as the basis of my prayers. Her son was the elder of the church and had originally desired for my husband to pray for her. My husband was extremely busy just trying to pass finals. I happened to work at the hospital where she was at. I anointed her with oil after cleansing myself of all sin and unforgiveness because I really wanted this woman to go to heaven and not hell. No one should have to face their God with sin upon them and while my husband's college taught dispensationalism we did not believe miracles were for our day and age. I clung to that portion of verse which says if they have sins they will be forgiven. I knew she had been unable to pray for herself for many years because she was living in a nursing home and was total care, completely unable to speak or even eat. She was fed with a tube. She hadn't walked in a very very very long long time. Months later I happened to be in the town and I bumped into the sisters who invited me and my new baby over for lunch. They kept pointing out the lady. I had no idea who she was even, as she was beautiful and healthy and walking.The last I saw her she was all but a corpse, with contracted extremities, painfully thin, very blue, gasping for breath and going very long periods with no breathing at all. But there she was and had a list she was going over and was shopping. As I waited for the sisters to prepare our lunch I asked some more about the woman. She was that last person out of the waters of baptism into Jesus Christ. Not only did the angels sing but people began to pray in the spirit everywhere. People started laying hands upon the sick and folks with missing teeth or eyes or needing glasses or even missing limbs became healed. Those who could not walk started walking and no one suffered any pain. Others started preaching and teaching the WORD of God. I know that town and even then they were not people who spoke in tongues. I have heard this is the work of the devil. I will never believe that!!!! It is the workings of the Holy Spirit of God!!! It is our secret prayer language with God who's spirit intermingles with our spirit praying for us on a level people (and satan) can not understand!!! That woman lived to be 1 day short of 100 years old. Her son Vern Taylor and his wife Opal were upset with me because they wanted me to pray for her soul to get into heaven (not something we taught) and they did not want her healing. I didn't heal anyone and only Jesus has the power to forgive sins. She became a widow at a very young age and after many years wanted to marry again. Her son Vern broke up her engagement because the man did not believe he could stand the stress of his tantrums. Vern said she was going to hell. I will never believe that because Jesus will leave the 99. He will fight for each of us. One we put ourselves securely into God's hands He's never going to let go of us!!! NEVER! Vern thought that if his mom married again she was cheating on her husband. She loved her husband dearly, but it is not good for any of us to be alone!!! I asked her daughter-in-law why did they not want her alive and well. She said because then they would "have to take care of her". I asked questions thinking I would add them to my prayer list. She didn't need any financial help, as she was well off enough to manage her own bills. She didn't need transportation care because everything she needed was right in town where she lived and could walk to everything. She didn't need housekeeping help or even cooking help. This woman took care of everything including her doctoring and shopping. I couldn't see that she could be a burden to anyone. She never did talk to anyone with her voice ever again, and I don't know why because all evidence of her previous stroke was completely gone. The only thing this woman needed prayer for was healing of the hurt inflicted upon her for so long. Do not judge her son. She was friends with a man who played pool at the local bar and when her son would walk in she'd grab whoever's cigarette and drink and place them in front of herself because she was mad at her son for ruining her chance to be happily married again.He married someone else because he could not take her son's attitude. She never drank or smoked a day in her life. I look forward to meeting my sister in heaven. I have had angels tell me to lay hands upon children and they got healed and did not require major life changing surgery. I have had a patient tell me she was told by angels I was going to extend her life with enough time to say goodbye to loved ones she would be leaving behind that she had not seen or spoken to in decades as they walked through the door unannounced... and they did exactly that and died exactly when they angels said she would enter heaven. Her family and angels were there to escort her home.
Correct. The Azusa Street revival was the largest "outbreak" but, as best as can be determined, the first people known to have been baptized in the Holy Ghost with initial evidence of speaking in tongues, were in Topeka after much seeking in prayer and searching the Bible. Then the Lord led his children through out the United States to begin other revivals.

In 2019 I still believe in the healing power of God. Oh to have been there with these precious people.
Folks this is not new nor limited. This same Holy Spirit which came on Pentecost is still here, still moving; His move is not an era gone by, for should the people of God should believe their God's Word, forsake their sins, then the His power will flow in them & through them. Listen to what they are saying.

If a comment is too long RUclips doesn't let it post so this is a 2nd post. My family and I were traveling across America to reach Long Beach California. We had just spent a week stuck camping in the Peg Leg mountains with a broken radiator during a severe drought. Dad had to start the car and drive it til hot and stop the car to cool it down all the way to town. They gave him a ride back and promised they'd pick him up when the new radiator came in and the car was fixed. The town didn't even have enough water to mix with the antifreeze. We washed our dishes with hot sand to remove food debris, and wiped them very clean. After it was fixed we managed to get to another town that was not having a drought. We traveled a few days and it seemed as though the vehicle was going to be just fine to get us to our destination. All of a sudden out of the clear blue the temperature gauge started rising and Dad pulled into the shade and parked. It was quiet, calm, and so extremely peaceful. We were all drawn to an area inside of a fence. I was only 8 or 9 years old at the time. I told God I wanted to be right standing with Him and accepted Jesus into my heart at age 3 (almost 4). The rest of my family thought I was strange and nuts since none of them were Christians or even went to church. We were immediately approached by a lady who told us this was a very private cemetery and we needed to leave but another woman came along and told her no it's alright. They need to be here. All of a sudden everyone in my family started screaming at me in hysterics to get off the grave. I was trying to see where the grave was so bad but all I could see was Gold everywhere. I could feel that Gold! and smelled wonderful flowers. They kept calling me a dummy for desecrating a grave and the more they screamed at me the more I could not see where I was at or even stepping and I guess I stood on it even more so. The lady asked me what I could see. My mother gave me stern looks that said to keep my mouth shut. so I said I saw nothing. I was so confused and unable to see the grave that it gave me anxiety at first but then I calmed down and wanted to stay. My mother as silly as she could be asked me what I saw in earshot of the lady and I said I saw Gold everywhere but I could not see the grave to get off of it at all. I wish I hadn't been so bugged by my family since I would have liked to look around. I felt a presence there that I only felt one time before. I was beaten up by my oldest sister who was twice my age just about every day. She beat her own children too but decided it wasn't abuse because she used an open hand. It got so bad that I prayed and asked Jesus to bring me up to Him to be with Him forever. He did bring me into His presence. He was holding children, many who I have met exactly as they appeared there throughout my lifespan! He didn't hold me but I felt held and loved anyway. He told me if I really wanted to be with Him He would bring me to be with Him forever, but that if I stayed on earth for now that He had a plan and a purpose for me but to always remember my life would never be easy. He had work for me to do. The lady asked me if I smelled anything unusual. My mom asked me what she asked. I told her I smelled roses. She pointed to the other end of the cemetery and said oh, well there they are. I told the lady in front of my mother that I only smelled the roses on the far side of the cemetery and she said that was too far away to smell. I apologized for desecrating the grave and that I really didn't mean to. I just couldn't see it. She said he wouldn't mind at all, and that he would have liked me a lot. I felt I missed out on part of some wonderful experience because of 100% of my family was screaming at me. The lady said it was the grave of William Seymour. I remember the name. I'd like to go back without my family screaming but he's not in the cemetery that everyone says he's supposed to be in. He's in that beautiful quiet peaceful place. I'll see him in our new glorified bodies one day any way.From that time on when the presence of the LORD is near I feel the same way and from time to time, especially when healing is taking place and my eyes are shut to the things of this world I see Gold come down in a waterfall pouring upon the sick, or upon my hands when I lay hands upon a very sick child's chest. I can not call this to happen on my own. I only know every time it does I am humbled by it and know it was Jesus that healed, and the angels are telling me to do it. Those days are coming again as in the days of the Asuza street revival because we are the generation to which Christ will return for. I am called to preach on the streets of Tennessee and to teach street evangelism to anyone desiring to learn how to lead others to the Lord. I feed them food for the body and then give them food for their souls.I started street evangelizing when my girlfriend Bonnie (also a Christian) and I would go door to door selling her mom's tupperware. We were 12 years old. Some of my family claim they are Christians but don't live the life. One can not drink from the cup of demons and the cup of Christ at the same time. It just can't happen. Pray for them while there is still time for true salvation instead of the illusion of salvation. Church is not just a place to socialize with like minded believers it is a place to worship God as He truly desires. We can not rewrite the Bible to fit in sinful paradigms calling good for evil and evil for good. If I stood in a garage could I call myself a car? Please pray for revival. I'm getting old myself and I need this vessel containing my spirit and soul to stand up to the tasks laid before me. God is able but we do have to ask. Amen! I've seen God open the eyes of the blind right in my own livingroom as a child. I've seen him raise the dead. I've seen Him multiply food & all well sated. Most of all, He saved my parents, uncle, sister & myself from a gas explosion in our home without anyone of us being killed nor injured. The house was not completely destroyed either. Wow, incredible. The revival was born out of deep repentance and prayer, and total full submission to God. These are missing in most people, including Church leaders. I wonder why America is in a mess- 2 Chr. 7:14

And in my Teenager Lady Years,during the 1980s. We had different Nationalities at our Church too. When I was a baby the Doctors told my Parent's that my Feet would need to have Surgery. Well,my Parent's were Baptist and they ended up taking me over to my Auntie my mother youngest sister Apostolic Holiness Church. The Saints as they would call their-selves began Praying and laying on hands over my body. God Healed me,my Parent's visit the Doctors again with me and the Doctors were baffled saying its a miracle. Because I didn't need to have any Surgery🙏🏾🙋🏾♀️

Dont get me wrong I am superman when i am in worship and the presence of God, yes that is easy and fun and wonderful. Matter of fact everyone I know who is sincere struggles. Im not talking about putting on a show for people at church-- But a life filled with consistent prayer and intermittent fasting is not easy and porn is a monster who never takes a day off. I must be refilled daily or my old nature (stupid and selfish) starts coming around.

Yes Anthony. Am aware of what you are talking about- the struggles of the pilgrims. However what am sure of is in the real baptism of the Holy Spirit you are eternally sealed in Life. The knowledge by the Grace of God that supplies every step in this journey keeps us steady though with teary eyes and weary feet but that is the joy and peace that our Lord said 'not as the world gives'. I'm talking my real life. I once 'struggled' but today although it seems to be there physically 'inwardly' I am still, calm deep waters in the midst of the storm. Not bragging bro and not even somebody in the denominational rankings- of course I don't belong to them things but I BELONG to CHRIST. That's why am called a Christian. Being born again is born in THE KINGDOM OF GOD and we don't struggle to remain a son. Hope am not throwing a stumbling block to you bro.

This lady understood that speaking in tongues means speaking in known languages without having learned them. Nowadays some of those who say they speak in tongues, do some rabakaranda shara ta . I am a Baptist Christian and have a different understanding of what the baptism in the Holy Spirit means. I understand it has nothing to do with speaking in tongues. I believe speaking in tongues is descriptive and not prescriptive. I believe the baptism happens in the moment of conversion, without which you cannot become a Christian.

A study of Acts chapter 19 should give anyone the true answer through the evidence in the Word. The admonition of Paul in I Corinthians 12:7 ...the manifestation of the Spirit is to everyman to profit..." Conversion comes to all as it did when Peter used the keys Jesus gave him at the first message of the church in Acts chapter 2: Belief in the work completed by Jesus Christ at the cross then being obedient to the call to repent of all sins, being water baptized in the name of the Lord and ye SHALL receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts chapter 10 shows that Peter and those with him who were at the Upper Room understood that the evidence was speaking in tongues "...because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost FOR they heard them speak in tongues an magnify God."
