I will always remember when you visited my school to perform a concert as well as a small guitar masterclass which I was lucky enough to attend. I'll never forget that experience, along with meeting you at a number of small local gigs - thank you. I will forever love this song/album.
this was my favourite back then...kept listening to this for a decade and i donno how but totally forgot about the song..until i came back heard this.....i love this song so much..
I first heard this in school, then heard you play it at two of your shows I worked at when I was a teenager, still my favourite bop by you today. Hope you're well
last year of my 20s and this song comes to talk to me in a different way, just like those things ive learned and experienced. im recalling the teenage boy who would listened to hand built by robots album on the bus everyday. thank you.
This is such a beautiful version of a beautiful song. When this song was first released it helped me through one of the most difficult times of my life. Thank you so much! You will always be one of my most favourite musicians on the face of this earth! Much love to you Newton :o) xx
My favourite song of all time - had this on CD from one of your first EPs. Incredible to hear it again 16 years later; thank you! Look forward to seeing it live!
I randomly came across your song on TV a little over a decade ago. I was going through some really hard time, crushing times and your song helped me more than I can tell during that time. And ever since then I have kept listening to your son till this very day and I know I’ll keep visiting this song until my last. Thank you!
Well, there is/was an extended version, kinda...with a middle section! I always kinda missed it from the later versions ruclips.net/video/sb9VuO-hQhA/видео.html
Still breathtaking after all these years. I also truly believe your voice and range still bless you to this day bro. Truly moving and I wish you all the best 🙏🏻 thank you for helping me cope with depression and loneliness with your music, in my youth. Meant the world to me.
This is my all time favourite of yours! I saw you play it live at the leadmill in Sheffield 10 years ago and it gave me goosebumps!!🥰🥰 By the way, thank you for the signed card you did for my new born son at the end of that gig! We still have it here❤
It’s funny that the song is so upbeat in the original format. But hearing this made we want to say - that’s clever songwriting. Because the lyrics are actually miserable. Guess it’ll all work out - that’s basically saying in the grand scheme of things the world will go on much as it did whether you’re here or not. And I don’t mind anymore - that’s saying fair enough, I don’t care if things don’t work out for me, what will happen will happen. It’s literally a song about banging your head against the wall and getting nowhere to the point you just stop worrying about what might happen if you lose. Powerful stuff really.
Brings back good memories. CD player, listening to his album over and over
Back for more this year. Booyah. Gettin' me them feels today.
You just made me cry (coz....) thank you my cathartic friend
The whole wide world needs something xx praying for peace xx
