- Today we're making a couple deliveries in Boston, one at the butcher shop and another at a restaurant. Some tight streets, and small parking lot turnarounds. Come ride with me!
This was hilarious and reminded me of when I first started driving a box truck. Why you didn't back into that parking lot is beyond me lol
Lived in Boston for years and always wondered how the hell people drive big trucks in the city. Much respect man, I couldn't do it.
Good stuff, man. I appreciate you taking the time to film and upload this. Is helpful to those of us driving a box truck for the first time. I was/am nervous about tight turns in a 26-foot truck. This video was helpful. Hope your journey is going well 👊🏻
This video is how I discovered your Channel
If possible, it may have been a better move to back into that last drop off in Boston.
Live and learn
Keep up the good work!
Im thinking on taking the challenges to the next level training to drive these box trucks after working for amazon delivery driver for 2.5 years. For the money of course.
Do it!!
I like your videos I found your channel cause I'm thinking about applying to Ryder as a class B driver. I'm currently a transit bus driver.
i used to pick up load at your HQ Walden for J&D. and you just happen to drove by my apartment.
Greetings brother, new subscriber, I love your channel, take advantage of it, you are one of the few who touches the subject. Take and where you can find employment and also if it is possible to buy your own truck and work independently
Preciate the kind words Bro!
Why not put the gps on the windshield so you don’t have to look down at it... I’m new to the channel but enjoying it man been driving straight trucks for a few years now I’m out of va but run northeast and Ohio
It's cause my company mounted the phone holder in the middle panel, and I was just too lazy to bring my own haha. Thanks for watching homie!
does your company contract with independent owner operator?
hey how do you deal with tight turns like when you are driving and have to make a right turn on narrow lane but there's 2 narrow lanes and cars are next to you do you block both lanes then make the turn or open up what do you recommend .
It probably looks tighter on camera, but for the most part you do the best you can staying in your lane driving in the city. Keep checking your mirrors if you have to take up another lane. For the most part cars understand
Do you get trained how to drive drive the box truck?
Man I hate those tunnels and driving trucks in Boston it’s crazy
I drive in downtown Birmingham sometimes and that always sucks but this looks like hell
give us an update on the training what do you think so far
Ya, I'm going to make a video soon, not much to film at training
Hello i would like to become a driver
Just keep going west on 90 for several days. Eventually you will end up in Seattle at Lumen field
Shout out idol always support from Philippines
Yo what's good!!
Bro, save yourself the headache by getting a Garmin DEZL OTR700 truck GPS.
I know that Cambridge area very well its not too far from where I live and I hate driving around there the drivers really have no chill I've lived here for like 7 years I still hate parking here..box truck life seems fun for you I see that's good you seem to be enjoying yourself I can dig it..do they have you drive all over the new england region? What's the furthest you have ever driven
I drive everywhere between Northern Vermont and Maine on the Canadian border, to Southern Connecticut. I actually just left this company but the HQ was just north of Boston. But the routes weren't to bad. We have some routes that are 4 hours one way so it's at minimum 8 hours of driving, those are like a 12-13 hour day. Thanks for watching btw!
@@driverlife670 wow that's a lot of driving but driving seems fun.vermont wow that's far. You drove on the Canadian border nice you haven't actually driven into Canada have you? I saw that the box truck you were driving has air brakes dont companies in general teach the driver on air brakes even if it's non CDL? Well I hope you do well in your new driving job man I really do.no problem on the watching fam u know it!!!!
@@mado3623 ya I believe companies are suppose to teach air breaks, mine didn't haha, I just did my own research. And no I haven't driven into Canada. Ya I'm hoping to get thru this CDL training soon and have some new content
