An interesting video. I remember travelling on the Huyton-Wigan branch line in the early & mid 60s but unfortunately have no photos or videos from that period.
Lovely, I remember them well, our house backed on to the rail just a bit further up towards Eccy Park. I remember the huge black train, the ones with all the trucks filled with gravel etc and the milk train in the early mornings. We used to stand on the fence and wave at the drivers.
