Korea is also split by three neighbours. we can not forget about Koreans who have lived (some fo them are still living there) in part which is in Russia now. I have meet them myself in Uzbekistan. Stalin has moved them to central asian soviet republics. I have even visit one restaurant there, where owner was Korean. I was making small business there with some Uzbek friend of mine. He invited me to this restaurant. I didn;t ask him, he told me it just by himself, that if I will ever make any business with Korean person, I don;t have to be worry that he would cheat me. He said that Koreans are very OK people and everybody in his area have big respect to them. After some years I have meet in Warszawa one Korean from Fergana in Uzbekistan. I have make with him one small transaction. Afetr some time i have make some small busines with him in Fergana. And I must say the same. Koreans are OK. I also have big respect to all Koreans. From previous USSR, China and from Korea. Koreans must be very strong minded people, if they survived in such pressure from three sides. You are like diamonds. This is why you are so succesfull today and you will be more succesfull in the future if you unite. I wish you this. But sad true is that noone of your neighbours is intrested to make Korea united. They will try to keep it like it is now. If North and South Korea will not agree between themselves. Then noone else will help you with it. You gotta visit your land someday. I'm sure you'd be more than welcome here. In fact we still have Poles go back from the furthest parts of the world coming back to settle here, even if they don't know the language!
During World War II, Poland was the only country in the world where a death penalty for helping Jews took place. Even for giving a Jew a glass of water. The death penalty applied to the helper and his entire family, brothers, sisters, wife, children and parents. Despite this, hundreds of thousands of Jews thanks to the help of Poles survived the war.

Massacre in Katyn, those 20,000 people were not just military officers, they were Polish elites, professors, scientists, doctors, engineers. The Soviet Union wanted to get rid of the Polish intelligentsia, they wanted Poland to never rise again, that their history would be forgotten. Very good material, but also heavily summarized.

I lived in Warsaw for almost 2 years. and while living there I learned much and my attitude about WWII changed from a flippant 'who cares?' attitude to a somber and agonising realisation that the effects of WWII and the Cold War are still resonating today. But through all of this Poland's story in this war has been almost ignored. This is something that needs to change especially in light of the ignorance surrounding the Polish Death Camp controversy. Shame on Israel for downplaying the 2.7 million Poles who died at the hands of the Nazis. And to the verterans and heros of the Armja Krakowja, may I say - Cześć i Chwała Bohaterom!
it will not change.. not in the West.. because they would then have to acknowledge they shook hands and allied with a guy at very least equal but arguably worse then Hitler. Especially now that things from history seem to warrant the idiotic notion of reperations.

I'm also full of hope with sensational information from last days,.That Donald Trump will meet with Kim Jong Un. Probably in Panmunjon. But remember. Trump first of all will try to make USA great again.
Stay strong, Be peacable for your brothers from north and good luck.
Thank you
As a fellow Korean, I second this comment.
My grandfather was working in the coal mines in ScrantonPennsylvania America When Germany invaded September 1st 1939 then Russia September 17th 1939 .
My grandfather tried to go Back to poland to fight alongside his brothers he could not make it back so he joined the American military.
He served 6 years on the battleship North Carolina as a Navy corpsman.
When my grandfather was on his death bed saying his prayers and Polish he made all his grandsons promise him if any country ever invades poland we will fight to protect the Polish way of life. His last words the Polish people only kneel to God .
Rest in peace grandpa you'll always be my hero Paul Peter Zaleski 💪🇵🇱🇵🇱

Massacre in Katyn, those 20,000 people were not just military officers, they were Polish elites, professors, scientists, doctors, engineers.
The Soviet Union wanted to get rid of the Polish intelligentsia, they wanted Poland to never rise again, that their history would be forgotten.
Very good material, but also heavily summarized.
Well, it would take around 290 years to explain all, so they had to summarize it
They were officers
@@habuger12they murdered all the smart people who they knew would help poland during war. They were clearly afraid of polish people especially considering the history

Thanks and I agree.
Poland lost 5 milions people :(

Its not Polish death camps, there should be German death camps in Poland :)
it will not change.. not in the West.. because they would then have to acknowledge they shook hands and allied with a guy at very least equal but arguably worse then Hitler. Especially now that things from history seem to warrant the idiotic notion of reperations.

To be honest for many ppl that comment sounds bit strange considering our history but not all know that Ottoman Empire was one of only two countries in the world that refused to accept the partitioning and reserved a place in its diplomatic corps for an Ambassador of Lehistan (Poland). The other was Iran (Persian Empire at that time) funny thing that only our enemies didnt acknowledge that my homeland is gone .

Lmao at least UK and France had the guts to declare war on Germany when they attacked Poland.
France threw Czechoslovakia under the bus in 1938 despite having a direct defensive alliance together and when the Germans invaded in 1939, the west didn’t even flinch. After the war the West decided that if they liberated Czechoslovakia, it would make the Russians angry so then we were also abandoned behind the communist curtain just like Poland. LOL

Thank goodness. You have no clue how hard it is to listen to people rumble on about how much they want to deport us. As a Pole, living in England it’s really making my life quite miserable. My parents are highly educated people with respectable jobs, every time I see a comment saying that all we do is take away jobs and benefits I die inside just a little bit.
I did not come to this country because of benefits, but because my dad fell in love with London after going on a trip one day so we decided to move.
As a portuguese I see you polish people as the most brave europeans that ever existed. You are the source for courage inspiration to us all, special for me who served in Kosovo in my 25 years old as a mear soldier in the cold of winter. I reckon your blood sweat and tears and may all countries learn from you to uprise against this technocratic and globalist scourge that hunt us all. I reckon you since the noble Winged Hussars and your Pope John Paul II was and still is beloved here in Portugal. (I'm crying of proud of you.) May our three portuguese holy sheperds and our Holy Lady Marie of Fátima protect you and bless you all forever. With respect from Portugal to you, to lord Sobiesky until your uprising. You are like a phoenix who rise from the ashes after each fall always resurrecting more stronger than before like in Katyn massacre till the Vołin massacre. ThePartia77 Yes, I am a Jew, and I am ashamed of the hypocrisy of my country. I believe that the majority of Jews who attack Poland for the new law probably didn't even bothered to actually read it, and just dismissed it as a Holocaust denial - which is absolutely false. Both our people suffered greatly during the war, and our suffering mustn't be forgotten. Stay strong and brave, my Polish friend :)

You can be sure. Almost every Pole knows about winter wars in Finnlad. We have a joke about Russians charging over a hill during winterwar.
using google translator:
Venäjän armeija saapui Suomeen. He perustivat leirin.
Niitä on kaksi!

They were defending the northern soviet boarder in the upcoming war agains Nazi Germany which was inavittable.
@@evakkosiili6390 "Even tho we lost small portion of our land, we sure kicked some ussr ass "
Below are the comments of Stalin, which he made during the meeting. They were recorded by a Finnish translator who was present at the negotiations. “None of us is to blame for the fact that the circumstances of the geographical order are as they are. We should be able to block the entrance to the Gulf of Finland. If the fairway leading to Leningrad did not pass along your coast, we would not have the slightest reason to raise this question. ... *We ask for 2,700 square kilometers and offer in exchange more than 5,500 square kilometers. What state acted this way? There is no such state* . ”
On September 27, Britain “advises” the Finns to resist “pressure from the East”. The West hoped that the aggravation of the Soviet-Finnish relations would provoke a crisis in relations between the USSR and Germany.
The Finns went full steam ahead to a war with a powerful neighbor. Did they hope to win it? Of course not, alone such an outcome is absolutely impossible. But the fact of the matter is that Finland seriously hoped for the intervention of "progressive humanity".
It is curious to note that the Finnish government actually hid the entire spectrum of Soviet proposals from its parliament, fearing that they would be accepted because of a reasonable understanding that *a thin **-world-** peace with the USSR is better than a good quarrel with him in the interests of Britain and France* .
