    Him announcing his retirement mid-season with 4 trophies still with-in reach seemed like he was quitting the boys. While everyone was positive after the announcement saying they are motivated to give him a great send-off, however deep down I feel the players were hurt by the announcement. I am not saying the players quit on him, but the last few weeks have seemed as such

      Yeah that’s what I mean. Even if it did motivate them to play harder, the news came with SO much of the season left that it’s impossible to use that as motivation for that long.
      I don’t know how many saw it as quitting on them, that’s for each individual player to react in their own way, but more of that feeling tends to come out when you start playing poorly, that’s for sure .
