I have been with The Art of Living with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in New Jersey for 12 years now. Guruji states in one of his meditation tapes that the mind or self (meaning the universal knowledge is not inside the body but outside). I agree after meditating and doing their breathing techniques for 12 years now, however, being a martial artist for 17 years now I have experienced that not only is the knowledge there and outside of us BUT THE POWER, ENERGY AND OUR POTENTIAL IS RIGHT AROUND US DAILY. Energy is unlimited when connected with this.

I have been mediator from the age of 14 having come into several Gurus starting with J Krishnamurthi. I loved Gurudev's explanation of what constitutes the art of meditation. I have realized the importance of small rituals that can be precursors to mediration and not seen as mere rituals but as celebrations.

Our Guru does this third-eye power demonstration (mentioned by vishen lakhiani at 22.16) normal for all age people. Swami Nithyananda does that for adults in a two-way zoom call through His acharyas. Might I offer one suggestion, after listening to these wise words of the great Gurudev? Sri Sri Gurudev throws such a beautiful field of consciousness to everyone (who is open to it) during meditations. This is even more transformative than logical insights he offered to answer questions. The transformational energy field cast by such a person comes from higher dimensions of their Being, above time-space; so a meditation with Gurudev affects all later viewers as well who are open to higher awareness. I was very disappointed the meditation was cut out, the most important thing offered, transformation toward higher consciousness. Interviewers get access to a cow who offers magical milk, but all they seek is to be licked by the cow. No! Experience the magical transformation from the divine milk! That is the important thing to seek. No matter how good the questions, they are getting you cow licks - nice, okay, but not the highest. For this, Patanjali recommended staying in the company of "wise sages" (enlightened people) to reach enlightenment. Mental concepts will not get us enlightenment. If you interview him again, please consider leaving the meditation in the RUclips video for viewers to experience. Thank you.
